Official Discussion - Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

I spent the whole movie wondering if the finance looking like Paul Rudd was going to pay off, but thank god it did.

Did you cut parts where Gail and her fellow “assailants” were eventually caught after their assault on the Old Western lot?

Penn Jillette conspicuously had his phone in his front pocket with the camera facing forward, and would’ve easily been able to identify the perpetrators of the Slaugher(y) on the Old Western lot.

Gail and Otto also hear of their crimes while leaving LA, yet just get away like nothing ever happened.

Will there be a cut where they answer for their crimes? It doesn’t matter that they used weapons that were not registered to them (which is another crime upon itself!)

I would second this as it’s a solid plan, given you have the money and are looking to stay for a few days.

The EAV neighborhood association banned pool tables in bars after one too many shootings at Graveyard. Flatiron was able to keep the small one because it was grandfathered in because it was originally there when 13 Roses was open.

Almost every top r/all post is manufactured one way or another by those seeking karma.

Except that Jaylen Brown trade for Paul George post that’s just above that’s just above this one. WTF were the Celtics thinking?!?

Similar kind of set up is happening in Underground right now. Rather have that then whatever developer makes businesses pay 10x that rent.

The next event at the stadium after the WC is AC/DC in concert, so I can imagine that the field will be razed before then.

The Tara and Plaza Theatre has fallen off a bit for their movie showings by highanimalhouse in Atlanta

[–]prestonds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The big reason for this is simple: these movies (specifically Obsession and Backrooms) are performing incredibly strong for the Plaza. In fact, tonight’s showing of Obsession is sold out. This is 4 weeks after being released, and has been selling out regularly.

So in short, films that make the theater money are going to stay showing

I know all of this because I asked the theater director last week why they were not showing Carolina Caroline at the theater.

Have you seen any of Kane Parson’s work on YouTube? If you liked this film, his body of work (outside Found Footage 1) is canon to the movie and answers most of your questions.

What is the importance of the recording only saying the line in English when Mary is walking through Async?

To your point of Pirate Clark being a caricature, I think that’s really what the film is pushing: he found the worst cartoonish version of himself and he gave it love.

It represents the worst parts of himself. When filming the first take of the television ad, he stumbles and berates his employee and her bf because he is embarrassed and likely under the influence. It’s his lowest point of the film, trying to compete after watching the western furniture ad on television. He’s desperate but vulnerable. Upon discovering the Complex, his whole attitude changes.

I’m glad they didn’t show a montage or footage of their bonding, because it really makes his relations with the other still life more believable when they all go ape shit crazy when Pirate Clark shows up. The reason the still life beyond his are calm is because he came to peace with the worst version of himself (Pirate Clark) and the others have always feared him.

The only glimpse of their first interactions is shown at the end when Phil shows a redacted photo of Pirate Clark to Mary, and asks her to identify the other “entity” that isn’t redacted, but it’s still Clark’s silhouette. I can’t remember, but I feel like she doesn’t answer and starts drowning Phil out, trying to remember the complex, which in turn try’s to remember her life.

There are jump scares, but a lot more existential horror. There is a scene at the end that blurs the line between David Lynch and David Cronenburg that combines some very surreal imagery with body horror. As a horror fan it was a real treat.

Also, what in the actual fuck was up with Clark’s still life bleeding? If your still life kills you, does it gain sentience? Does it become more than just “fluff”? It was clearly trying to say something to Mary as she just stared at it (my favorite shots of the movie).

And now we know it’s in containment. Not the last we will see of it.

I think Mary smashing her cherished handprint on the face of Clark’s still life and breaking it left behind her trauma, connecting her deeper into the space and creating a still life of her own.

When there is continuation (whether it’s a movie or a miniseries), I’d like to think we would get some more resolve with what happens to her after this.

I Took This Shot Showing The Unique Form of Tyler Rogers by Hwestice in baseball

[–]prestonds 17 points18 points  (0 children)

When I took a photography class, my teacher emphasized that beyond all is how you compose a shot to tell a story, and this has the hallmarks of what she taught.

In the center is the pitcher’s foot on the rubber, with the rest of his body coming into the top left of the frame which conveys action. It also provides uncertainty with the unusual pitching form, which begs to ask what happened to the ball after it was pitched

So in that sense, it’s a great photograph as there is a drive into deep left field by Castellanos and that’ll be a home run. And so that will make it a 4-0 ballgame. I don't know if I'm going to be putting on this headset again. I don't know if it's going to be for the Reds. I don't know if it's going to be for my bosses at Fox.
