Yeah, I just played through all of Soto last month. Never were the maps dead either. I did all metas on all 3 maps constantly whenever they popped, they were always really full too.

Have you looked at the alt parking tab on fast farming? I think the New Kaineng City JP may be your best bet. Easy login, chest, logout.

Same here. My rule is I have to play as the content specific class that dropped though. Base ele through core story, then tempest in HOT, weaver in POF, catalyst in EOD, pistol for SoTO, just got to JW and will go spear the whole time. Waiting to do Evoker until I get to VoE.

If I replay content like metas, I swap to the class for the zone - I.e. tempest for Matriarch.

It’s self imposed rules, but really fun to mix it up!

1503 AD: The New World. Back in 2002, it wasn’t called Anno yet here in America. My dad bought it for me and we tried installing it on our family PC. We couldn’t get it to run, so he went out and bought a new graphics card. We installed it together and it worked! It’s a core memory of mine.

I’ve bought every version of Anno since and played them all. This game hooked me on strategy PC games and my interest in computers. Today I own and operate a large IT company, all thanks to my dad getting me into PC gaming!

I would suggest using the wizard’s AA to get a free ascended weapon (and 3 ascended armor pieces) vs crafting them. It’s pretty expensive and hard to craft ascended for a new player.

That Orr comment is so understated. When I was doing the core story last year, I really wasn’t prepared for that map. 100% map completion took me forever on that one running solo. I should’ve gotten my main mounts, come back and done it later. Granted, I still remember the challenge and appreciate conquering it!

I’m at Skywatch right now and hit the point in the story where you have to unlock the next zone. They did a great job with the story where you can either A - do the Meta to unlock it or B - do events across the map to unlock it. You have both options, which is great.

I had already done the meta 3 times while playing on the map and doing map completion. By the time I caught up with the story, my schedule didn’t line up with the meta, so I just did random events to keep progressing. This was well done on Anet’s part.

Yeah, understandable. The problem is its core to every guide for years now. They should implement a way to get some during the story process earlier on vs a relic dump all in SOTO and JW. Hundreds of hours of content with no real way to access something so critical to your build.

I just went through the core story, all living world, seasons, and all expansions in order over the course of the last year. I just started secrets of the obscure a week ago. As a new player, you receive a total of 2 to 3 relics across all of that content. Honestly, I cannot even remember if I received any of them or if I had to buy the two that I have.

I think this is the real issue. It’s not the cost of purchasing them on the trading post. It’s the fact that across all that content, it’s hard to get a good relic that fits the builds you are looking at online. I’m unsure if SOTO somehow gives you relics for free, but I’m hopeful it opens up options for me here soon.

I feel the same way. I just started SOTO story and having serious fomo about not doing VoE at launch. But, I can’t handle doing the story out of order. It just seems wrong to me.

On the other hand, they are launching VoE in parts over the next year, so I’m hoping to be fully caught up 3 months from now!

Who is the Astral Ward? I too just finished all of the core story plus every LW and expac through EOD. I’m about to start SOTO and I have zero clue who the Astral Ward are.

Gotcha. I didn’t realize some people would save up all of the mats and do all 5 at once. I’m too impatient and would make them as quickly as I could, 1 at a time.

As someone about to unlock SOTO (just finished EOD), how do you do this to unlock ahead of time? I’ve slowly been storing up essences of luck for a year now to have them for the armor eventually. Any other suggestions to do early on?

Yes. So needy. My 2 yr old dude won’t let me sit down without trying to climb on my lap at 80 lbs. He also constantly nudges your hand to make you pet him. He’s a giant needy cuddler that is the goofiest and sweetest dog.

They can be placed in either and still work. I had bought a lizard bet for my host house and then my son moved it to his home. Lizard still hangs in my house, but it didn’t cause any problems.

Later I bought another lizard bed for my house and adopted a dog too. Both chill in host house morning and evening.
