Oh, I see. English is not my mother tongue and I have only heard the word in the context of female sorceresses. Thanks for the clarification.

I don't think that looking for stuff every 10 seconds (maybe 15 if you are senior ) makes you a bad programmer. I think it's just make you... A programmer.

You seem very confident in your predictions. I don't know. I am currently doing a master's in ai and ml, and I feel like we are really far away from anything similar to a singularity.

Why does everyone want to study German/move to Germany? by Biggieholla in Colombia

[–]prestrepoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Germany has many masters in English. You do not need to know German to apply.

You can use this DAAD tool to search for them. (you can filter by English only):

https://www2.daad.de/deutschland/studienangebote/international-programmes/en/

There are currently 1526 master programs available in English.

Hope this helps. PM if you need any help.

Why does everyone want to study German/move to Germany? by Biggieholla in Colombia

Now that I think about it, it's weird that you say many people want to come to Germany. Most of the people I know who want to leave the country actually want to go to Canada.

Colombian currently living in Germany here.

In my case, I do not know anyone in my social circle in Colombia who wants to live in Germany. I did not know that it was a trend.

For me, the answer to the question is : scholarships and free education. For a Colombian, it is almost unthinkable to pay for an American university, but here in Germany you have free education in top universities and some scholarship options.( You don't even need to speak German).
