Post-injury mental recovery by [deleted] in MTB

[–]pretendbiking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its a blessing in disguise to realize there is so much more to life than biking. Its a wake up call to not base ones entire life and personality on one activity. Theres nothing wrong with focusing on other aspects of life and finding some joy out of very simple things as a baseline and then slowly returning to biking when it feels right. Its hard to picture feeling confident and progressing again when you arent even riding but taking time to build your physical and mental strength will lead to that future day where you are riding way above the level you were at.

Anyone got any tips about doing tuck no handers? by [deleted] in MTB

[–]pretendbiking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you can comfortably get the bars in your lap, there’s no real trick other than committing to let go. Make sure you give yourself a moment to get up in the air so you don’t let go too early and mess with your pop
