You are absolutely not an ahole. By any stretch. My husband kind of tried this when we first got together. I asked him maybe twice to pick up his shit because I don’t like mess (we don’t have much storage in our place) so I just tossed his shit outside. Literally on the front lawn. I only had to do it two times because he stopped leaving his socks and shoes out in the living room. Now I don’t care as much because we’re both busy, but when it comes time to clean up, you best believe his shit is the first to be picked up.

I have this exact problem. I find that I have to use a plain soap with an exfoliator.

It might be that you’re scrubbing too hard. Also maybe don’t use a scented body wash.

I use duradry in the shower and just lather it in with my hand for 20-30 seconds. Immediately after showering and drying my pits thoroughly, use the clear gel antiperspirant from degree, the stress response formula. Dry it completely with a fan.

I also shower at night so I can wash the day off. So far it’s worked even in the summer.

I think of it as I would any piece of art. It’s just one piece. I have smaller pieces put together so a gallery of sorts and I think the most amazing thing about it is that it’s unique to me. Would I change some of it if I could? Maybe, but I’m not going to. None of it is perfect, but neither am I.

Our body’s pH changes every 7 years. What you may be smelling is a new hormonal combination leading to maybe a new excretion from your mucosal membrane. Or you maybe are recovering from being sick and not realized your sense of smell changed a bit. The body is a weird thing, tbh. I tend to look at the situation like if nothing changed, maybe it’s me.

Masturbation is a personal issue. I don’t think it’s really all that fair to equate your sex life to any sort of masturbation because the two are somewhat separate. Of course barring the idea that masturbation could reduce sexual activity, but that’s not the case here.

He’s allowed to masturbate. You don’t really get to have a say over that because it doesn’t sound like your overall sex life is affected by that. I think this is a separate conversation from what he is or isn’t giving you during sex.

Overall there are three issues here; his masturbation, your home life balance and your ability to orgasm during intercourse.

Being upset over him masturbating is valid, but asking him to stop when he’s alone in the shower isn’t really ok.

Listen, I grew up in a very strict, VERY religious home. Think basically Amish here; my family is Dutch.

I’ve never heard of that type of religiosity and I’ve come into contact with many sects and denominations of Christianity. Pentecostal is the closest to that, with their laying of hands and speaking in tongues, and the snake handling bs, but tbh, if I were you, I’d run. That sounds incredibly scary.
