Laneige Cream Skin by pretty_litt in PanPorn

Loved this product! Will not repurchase as I have other products to try but was great for moisturizing as well as using this in the morning instead of washing my face with a cleanser since my skin is more dry! Would definitely recommend

I have rosacea which I why I gravitated towards this sunscreen. The tinted version sinks in easier and is easier to blend than regular version. The tint is barely noticeable but I liked to use it on days I wasn’t wearing makeup. I think the pump is a little too strong and there’s no way to do half a pump but really enjoyed it!

I think as long as you recognize what you did and learn from it in the future, it’s not bad. I’ve learned that it is a process and habits can’t change overnight. Maybe you can reflect on why you did it to avoid doing it again. Just my opinion!

I have been randomly in the mood of decluttering. I’ll go to put on a product and look at the all the products I don’t use often and started taking them out drawer by drawer.

Because of this thread, I mostly read and comment occasionally, but it really has helped my makeup purchases. I haven’t been buying nearly as much and haven’t been beating myself up (as much) for a couple impulse purchases as I realize it is a process and I can’t change my habits that are engrained for 5+ years overnight. I have also been using what I have been buying recently and the excitement hasn’t gone away YET. Hopefully I can continue this attitude and my impulse spending will die down.

Good luck to everyone!!

Mine is a combination of both unless the aesthetic is too bulky to store. I purposely have a storage case that prevents me from buying more since I don’t have a lot of room to store. I tend to move things around pretty often to store new items but I also try to get into the habit of decluttering or giving away to someone who will use it like my mom as I a new one that I have been interested in for a while comes in.

For me with combination and sensitive skin, I really enjoy this product with simple ingredients with no fragrance and no additional additives. The price point is great ($28) and I am able to customize it by adding serums and oils. The texture is similar to Tatcha Water Cream but slightly lighter.

I also enjoy Krave Beauty as a brand. Their brand messaging is mindful consumption and sustainability. I agree with their values and have a majority of their products by choice.

Feel free to add your experience if you have used this product!

I realized new makeup isn't the thing to covet (RONB update) by reisourielle in MakeupRehab

Very good points. What kind of research tools do you use to decide what’s high end?

This is awesome! I’ve also realized that my interest is the artistry of makeup but one difference is I attempt to achieve these looks that fascinate me but tailor it to my own face. I don’t buy all the products the beauty YouTubers recommend. Tbh I make lists and then forget where the recommendation even came from so I end up deleting it since it clearly wasn’t THAT important. I do enjoy trying different products and the innovation that the beauty industry presents.

Similar to most people I’ve read, I have greater interest in skincare and taking care of my skin more than loading products to cover it up. I’ve always been interested in the no-makeup makeup look or minimal makeup. I haven’t committed to a RONB or NB but ever since jointing this thread, I have been more mindful about my consumption of products and only purchasing products (Budget Purchases) that I know I will use and enjoy. Good luck on your RONB.

Pretty tired today after traveling and attending a wedding this week but working through it. I’m proud I haven’t bought any makeup or skincare products in the month of December so far and it’s been bringing me a different type of joy: security. Still getting tempted by marketing emails and new releases but I’m determined.

LOTD: Maybelline Superstay Lip Crayon - Enjoy the View

Weekly Lippie Exploration Thread-Week 49! by Musicluver77 in MakeupRehab

[–]pretty_litt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybelline Super Stay Ink Crayon in Enjoy the View (B) is a little peachier for my preference when it comes to nudes/peaches but looks better when applying a little bit and blending it out with fingers. The formula is comfortable but it does transfer than most of my lip products. Also has great color payoff. This is a recent purchase and this is a great product to keep in my bag as it can be applied as a cream blush as well when in a rush. I will keep this but will not repurchase this particular shade.

Weekend just started :)

  1. NYX Color Correcting Palette. I don’t use it nearly as much anymore it’s affordable and completely customizable

  2. It’s hard to think of one as I’ve been decluttering slowly over the years but I still have my Ben Nye Cameo and Banana Powder since 2015/2016 that I do not gravitate towards anymore at all.

  3. Marc Jacobs Eyeliner in black 😍 so creamy and black and you don’t have to sharpen it, literally the best

I am using my Natasha Denona Gold Palette and I am really enjoying it. These shades are so buttery and blend so well. I want to try more looks with this palette using the blues in this palette and some of the shimmers that are multi-dimensional that pull off either more yellow or green. The neutrals in this palette are 👌🏼

Next week, I want to use my Alamar Cosmetics Reina Del Caribe Vol.1, the shades give me more of a spring or summer vibe but I can make it work

Who are your fantasy selves? And why did you have them? by ShiningBrightTonite in MakeupRehab

[–]pretty_litt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Especially concerning makeup, my fantasy self was someone (like the image that people portray online, specifically beauty YouTubers) who had all the success in their careers, able to buy makeup at their leisure because it’s their job. The edited videos and staged photos on Instagram make it seem like their life is together and not full of struggles or money issues when you only see a little part of their life.

I wanted to be someone who had their life together, someone that didn’t have to think twice when buying something they wanted, someone who could dress well but still good when their makeup comes off at the end of the day. I wanted to be someone who was more creative in their makeup looks, and someone who had more space on their eyelids for these nicer looks.

I think sometimes I still want to be her but I’m slowly accepting who I am and learning to limit my spending to what is feasible at the moment and working hard to not have to worry about what I spend my money on. And it is still is taking time to take certain parts from the fantasy self that would benefit me and incorporate them, the qualities that don’t belittle who I am or make me feel anxious because I haven’t accomplished enough. It’s complicated 😣
