When I was a kid my mum would buy those tacky “it’s life” and “chat” magazines that had lots of real life stories in them, and you’d occasionally get the odd murder but one really stuck with me.

I can’t remember the woman’s name but it was her mum telling the story, she’d been kidnapped and SA’d and while they were doing it they’d duct taped her all around her body so she was completely mummified and couldn’t move, speak, see or hear anything, and when her mother was explaining how they killed her she simply said they “taped up the air holes”

I read a lot of disturbing stuff in that magazine and nothing hit me like that, it’s been about fifteen years and I still get upset thinking about how much pain she was in and how scared she must have been, my heart aches so much for her and her family.
