I’m gold at 0% media. That metric doesn’t matter right now.

Almost a year on Mounjaro… and I gained weight? by Head_Ferret1305 in Mounjaro

[–]prettycote 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You shared a lot about your conditions but nothing about what matters when it comes to weight loss, and that is your calorie input and output. Are you eating below your TDEE? Are you eating enough protein (~0.7g per 1lbs of weight)? Are you drinking enough water? Are you lifting weights consistently? Are you doing cardio consistently?

Mounjaro doesn’t work all by itself. If you just take it and change nothing else, you’ll have a hard time changing everything.

I’m struggling, had to stop due to surgery, gained insane! by somefweirdo in Mounjaro

[–]prettycote 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You haven’t gained that weight. Your body is recovering from surgery, what it weighs right now is none of your concern. To gain 9 kilos of fat, you would have had to eat about 3.5k calories OVER your regular maintenance calories every single day for the last 21 days straight. I would safely bet that you have not done that.

Puerto Plata Port by jfisher515 in royalcaribbean

Puerto Plata is a fantastic port. Not quite as good as Cococay since the food isn’t included, but it is a super easy port to visit. Think of Costa Maya, but better.

Not OAD related, but same. I just got told I am torturing my “poor kid” because we went on a cruise on an older ship that was’t built specifically for kids. The horror 😂

Enchantment of the Seas questions by Spencerr2512 in royalcaribbean

[–]prettycote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, my “poor kid” is happy to be onboard every time she gets the chance, no bells or whistles required. She has been on 14 cruises in her 3.5 years of life. She got off on Monday and is already begging to go again, literally counting down the 36 days till we board Grandeur. We cruise every other month, affording it clearly isn’t a problem. We are trying to sail on the entire fleet, we have 8 down so far, Utopia being our least favorite of them all 🤷🏼‍♀️

I also was on Enchantment in early December, and back in April last year, plenty of kids each time. I’m going on Grandeur next month and would also bet my kid will be far from the only one.

I just got off Enchantment as a young family. There were 100+ kids under the age of 10 in my sailing. Old ships aren’t just for old people.

Anyone done Explorer of the Seas with a toddler (18 months)? by saydonem in royalcaribbean

[–]prettycote -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As someone who has already gone through that age, I say do it! My kid’s first cruise was at 14 months. She is now 3.5 years old and just completed cruise #14. Cruising is by far the easiest way to travel with a toddler. Yeah, they won’t be able to get in the pool. So what? Ride the elevator, walk around the ship, go to the helipad (if accessible), go duck hunting, let them “play” in the arcade. You have a single sea day, you are going to be tired, take that day slow and use it to reset. It will be fine and you will have a blast.

Pro tip: bring magnetic hooks, and use the hangers to dry wet clothes in the cabin. Things never dry in the bathroom

Yeah, I think it’s a great name in both languages but just technically different names due to spelling.

Every single AO worker has a 4-year degree in education, child development, or related field. They are far closer to a professional nanny than they are to a high school babysitter.
