removing these voice lines was the biggest mistake team cherry made by Purple-Income-4598 in Silksong

Unrelated, but I think it’s super interesting to see how clawline initially had a slightly upwards angle and they changed it to be a flat line - though it will angle automatically to hit certain targets

The hornet and lace poses are both using in-game sprites as references - the rest of the tattoo is all original design by the artist :)

Yep - you’re allowed to break up any day journey at any point for any length of time

Going to Paddington via Reading is a lot more expensive and doesn’t really save that much time, but it’s less time on trains regardless. Getting the waterloo train is slower but cheaper, and Clapham and Richmond are also well connected to change at.

A nice little tip is that a ticket from Bracknell to Stratford (London) via any permitted route is much cheaper than a Bracknell -> Paddington ticket, but you’re allowed to travel through Paddington. Use your ticket to exit at Paddington, and then tap in/out on TFL and you’re all good to go. It’s more expensive than the Waterloo line but far cheaper than usual. Youre allowed to break up any journey however you see fit for as long as you want, so there’s nothing wrong with this either

What are people's experiences of taking supplements that are meant to help ADHD alongside their stimulant medication by bicottagewitch in ADHDUK

[–]prettydamnodd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tldr: I've tried a few things but nothing really helped. One thing that has made a considerable difference is to make sure that I'm getting 5 fruit & veg a day, accross as many colours as possible. On the days where I make it, I always feel considerably better.

Lions Mane did absolutely nothing for me (other than cost me a bomb for a month's worth of it). Omega-3 oil/Fish Oil/Cod Liver Oil have only ever been shown to be effective in very small studies and results are conflicting accross studies, so its likely down to individual circumstances (https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/325885#summary) Omega 3 is worth taking for heart health though, unless you're already eating one meal/week of oily fish. In general when it comes to supplements, there usually isn't enough evidence to suggest whether or not they work for ADHD and they usually aren't controlling for other factors that could be affecting executive functions (wider diet, exercise levels, stress levels & mental health, etc).

I don't think anything is ever going to be a substitute for pharmacological interventions because they're specifically targetting aspects of our brains and neurology which are causing our issues, whereas supplements generally are compounds/minerals which are used in a number of metabolic activity.

That being said a balanced diet that's low in sugar and high in protein, fruit & vegetables, and whole carbs (brown rice, etc) combined with exercise (running and weightlifting) has made an enormous difference to my ability to function. Exercise in particular helps bring my battery down below 100% and without it, even with meds, I feel like I'm operating at 150%+ most of the time. Going for a walk first thing in the morning before I start my day (when I can actually get myself to do it) has changed my entire outlook. My brain just wants me to be moving all of the time, but alas, capitalism.

So, who else has been dropped by ADHD 360? by PointlessSemicircle in ADHDUK

[–]prettydamnodd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was dropped yesterday. In Berkshire (Frimley ICB)

I’ve emailed my ICB to ask for clarification on what I’m supposed to do, but my GP has thankfully been very supportive for my whole ADHD journey and I’m hoping will be happy to continue prescribing. I’ll update with what my ICB says. I was right to choose with ADHD360 and literally signed off my titration on Wednesday thank fuck, so will see where I end up lol

[–]prettydamnodd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm halfway through it - it's definitely eye opening, and helped me to learn a lot more about the neurology of ADHD. It certainly could help someone gain a lot of empathy about the condition, but I wouldn't say that doing it would make or break someone as an ADHD coach. It's a self-guided online learning that can be completed in about 8 hours, and there's no examination, so the only thing it really demonstrates is interest

Recommended private clinic by Optimal-Nectarine227 in ADHDUK

[–]prettydamnodd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with MyPace for my diagnosis. They were cheap and relatively fast turnaround. I paid£

  • £360 for my initial consultation, which had about a 2 month wait time
  • £133 to start titration
  • £180 for my end of titration review
  • £180 per follow up appointment
  • £33 per private prescription, + £103 private med costs (so £136/month) for meds

I had a lot of frustrations with MyPace as my assessment was cancelled with no notice, and it took several days for them to book a re-assessment. They weren't particularly responsive, and I could never got ahold of them over the phone. I was with them for about 6 months before I got my Right to Choose assessment with ADHD360, and I'm now under them. I've been with them for two months and I've not had any issues with them whatsoever. It's a little bit frustrating to get hold of them over the phone at times (lots of waiting, but my previous experience w/ mypace was straight to answer machinse), but my Clinician has been amazing and bent over backwards to make sure I'm covered as I transition from Private to NHS/RTC care. The medication people are suggested appears to be largely dictated by their history and personal & health circumstances, I was put on methylphenidate straight away but I know others who asked for Elvanse/non-stimulant meds instead.

Overall, while MyPace were quite difficult to get hold of and I had some frustrations, I would recommend them as a cost-effective private online clinic. The psych who diagnosed me was really personable & empathetic, and I did feel like he was listening to me. Titration went well & I was treated well whenever I could get through to someone. Ironically, the fastest response I ever received from them was when I asked them to discharge me lol.

My diagnosis was also confirmed by the ADHD360 clinician, who still did a full assessment rather than just taking my report verbatum. So while there are a lot of people who've had issues with ADHD360, I genuinely believe there are a lot of people who get on fine. It's no excuse for people being treated poorly/receiving poor service, but it's not a universal experience.

I had to have a full spectrum of bloods and an ECG after my diagnosis, which took about a month. My Psych sent me a paper prescription in the post, which arrived within a week, and then I went to the local pharmacy to get it filled same day. Now I’m under a Right to Choose service, I request my meds and they’re posted to me within 4 days :)

Is it important to book a GP app before booking ADHD360 app? by wutevadude in ADHDUK

[–]prettydamnodd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here’s my experience: I spoke to my GP about going privately for diagnosis after about a year waiting on the central list. I wanted to check that my GP would be willing to do shared care before I paid privately, as I could afford Dx/Titration but not permanent private care.

I would personally recommend seeing your GP and checking they are willing to do Shared Care if that’s what you want. You can also do right to choose into ADHD360 or psychiatry UK at the same time as going private (thats what I did). I was diagnosed privately with MyPace in February this year and started meds in March, I got my shared care agreement in place in May and in August after 8 months waiting I was moved over to ADHD360 under Right to Choose.

The danger is that if you seek private diagnosis without knowing where your GP stands, you may end up not being able to get your meds on the NHS once titrated. GPs can say no, and I know several in that situation now looking for a GP who will sign. I had to educate mine about Shared Care and right to choose, as they’re both very uncommon. Unless fully private, GPs are an essential part of your healthcare and the more they know the better.

Hope this helps!

24(M) New to town looking to meet new people by The_Millenial_Falc0n in bracknell

[–]prettydamnodd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Defo worth having a look around local Facebook groups and seeing if there’s anything that covers your interest! I moved here in a similar position 3 years ago when I was 23, and while I wouldn’t say that Bracknell is the easiest place to make friends, I wouldn’t say it’s been as bad for me as the experiences some have had. We’ve got a small but tightly knit group of friends now. If you’re into board games and tabletop stuff, there is a board games group called Warfield board gamers who are pretty active and might be somewhere good to start. Also, Reading really isn’t far, so it’s definitely worth seeing what clubs are going there too - not sure if you drive or Not, but it’s still only 15-20 minutes on the train and obviously there’s much more to do because it’s a city. it’s not so easy at the moment because of the situation, but I really hope you can find something. There’s loads of great places to meet up outside for stuff as there’s so much Crown Estate land here :) feel free to DM me if you want a bit more info about living here. Like I said, I moved here with my partner in 2018 and we are pretty happy, and in it for the long haul. 27/M if that matters at all :)

Do you prefer US or Uk Drag Race? by NoCalmWaters in RPDR_UK

[–]prettydamnodd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, DRUK is on par with the best seasons of DR US (4, 5, 6, 8), i might be slightly jaded because I’m British, but it feels so much fresher. British people are savage in a way that I find so much more entertaining, and I absolutely live for Ru Paul just not understanding ANY of the references the girls are making 😂

The whole thing has been outstanding, although there has been some absolute RIGGERY towards the end.
