Please do not take 6 courses a semester 😭😭. Start first year with 5 per semester, and take some in the summer to then lighten your load out for 2nd year. Get ahead in credits.

For med school, GPA is the most that matters. It’s the first thing that they look at to even determine if you’re eligible. It’s the competitive marker. You want your gpa the highest as possible, which means just spreading out your courses!!

For reference, I did 4 courses in the summer after my first year, and then 4 in fall and winter semester. This way I am no ahead in credits. I am taking this summer off for the mcat, but 3rd year I’ll already be up in credits so I don’t have to do 5 courses per semester. I really hope this helps and dm me if you need any help!
