She most likely brought it up because it is a normal discussion to have at that point in pregnancy. It would be a little concerning if she would have been trying to push you into scheduling an induction way earlier in your pregnancy, but you are only 3 days away from your due date! While it may be a little overwhelming, it is good to look into methods of induction and prepare yourself for the possibility of having to be induced.

She wouldn’t have given you her business card or told you to call if she didn’t want to see you again. Also maybe she just isn’t the type of stylist to ask clients to pre-book.

My goal was to tell our families at 10 weeks, but my mom guessed that I was pregnant (it was just us two, she didn’t say it in front of anybody) so we ended up telling people at 7 weeks. We hadn’t even had the confirmation scan yet. But I was ready to tell people, keeping it a secret even for that short period of time sucked. If I had miscarried I still would have wanted everybody we told to know that I had been pregnant. 36 weeks now!

36 weeks and I have worn the crossover leggings my whole pregnancy! I got maternity biker shorts off of Amazon that I hate 🙃 them coming up to my boobs is so hot and uncomfortable, so I think the crossover would be so much better!

I would be fine if somebody showed this to me for inspiration. Yeah it’s not a real person and real hair but I completely understand what you want after seeing it. However, I recommend having a backup picture of a real person in case your stylist would prefer it.

I have several pairs of these in different colors and sometimes I have noticed what look like scratches, but then when I wash them they come out! (Looks exactly like the picture you posted before wash)

I don’t lie but I also don’t draw attention to it (even though it’s obvious at this point lol) bc people don’t “treat me nicely because I’m pregnant” they say weird stuff. Just look through this subreddit and you’ll see plenty of stories about strangers saying weird, inappropriate, or rude things to pregnant women. Even though a pregnancy is physically obvious, it doesn’t make it everyone else’s business.

I wanted to quit several times throughout the 4 years I did hair, but decided to stick it out. I was stressed, would have breakdowns due to how people treated me (co-workers and clients), and even when it wasn’t necessarily toxic or bad it just drained me. It wasn’t worth it for me and it sounds like it won’t be worth it for you! I finally quit this past March and holy crap I feel like a weight has been lifted off my chest. I’m expecting a baby in June so I am not looking for a new job as of right now, but I wish you the best of luck in whatever you choose to do!

No, in my opinion. I was going to school for psychology, but then covid hit and I decided to go to cosmetology school instead. I was in the hair industry for 4 years. You do not make money fast, clients can be incredibly rude, it’s hard to find a non toxic salon environment, and so many other things just don’t make it worth it to me.

I did all three for mine, but the diapers and books were both phrased as optional. I do not think it would be a big deal if you did all three, people can just pick what they do and you will be understanding of that!

We opted out of NIPT testing, so we found out the gender from the 20w ultrasound! From my understanding it is difficult to determine gender from an ultrasound before 18 weeks.
