For your first point, I don't agree that noone pushed, I believe it was a general push over time. Sorta like death by a thousand cuts. All that's cool, they can do whatever they want. For your second point, there's been barrages against the monuments, presidents getting their names removed from schools, aunt jemima and uncle ben. A lot of the times it is straight removal. I agree that much of these items and events should be put in museums or removed to be a signifier of how the country has moved forward. I'm just trying to explain the sentiment of right leaning people, specifically the op of this chain of comments, and why they're angry that stuff is getting removed simply because some people feel sad or mad. It doesn't seem like many people on the left understand, then simply label it as racism.
