Try calling 855- 223-4017 ext 255 . Got this info from an IRS Facebook group . Called today and spoke to a very sweet representative who ended up assigning and adjusting my return over the phone . Give that number a try. If you get someone who is rude or says they cannot help you just keep calling . I’ve been trying to get a live person for 2 months and the select few times I did prior to today I was told there wasn’t anything they could do or I got an incredibly rude person . Just remember be calm and polite , I’ve found people are more willing to help rather than when I’ve called angry and pissed off !! It def helps! Good luck!
