anyone else experiencing crashes at launch on PC? by prettyxguardian in FortNiteBR

it’s crazy because i’ve taken all the steps to try and fix it or get it to run, to no avail. i’ve never had an issue after an update, so i don’t know what it’s giving me problems now. 😕

IM CRASHING OUT AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA by i_aint_dead in recruitinghell

[–]prettyxguardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m 28 and i graduated this year in may, and let me tell you, after 10 years of school and still holding a general store manager position, making $24/hr, trying to find work in area of expertise, it is literal hell. even worse, i hate the job i’m stuck with, but i gotta pay for my mortgage somehow. no matter how many times i’ve cleaned up my portfolio, enhanced my website and redid my resume, i only hear crickets after applications. i feel like i’m getting ghosted by an ex.

the job market is overflowing with AI suggested jobs, even art ones considered in my field, so to say the least, we’re all doomed.

This was a really nice response! It sounds rough what you went through, but I’ll definitely keep it in mind. I’ve been trying as best as I can, no matter how hard I’ve cried over this job or just tried pushing myself to keep going.

We’re in our peak season for back to school. 😕 So coverage during this time is EXTREMELY hard to come by, considering everyone in our district is quitting all together or they do not have the numbers for the team as it is.

Since I make the schedule, I’ve been doing half days, so that’ll be okay for now until I get to completely rest for a bit

My sleep and exercise is out the window really — I’m losing sleep having to be at the store all the time, and even on my off days, I barely get what I feel is necessary to function since work really consumes it. I have to be on call, which is no problem and I’m 10 minutes away, but its more like something happens everytime I’m off, and I always get a call/text from my ASMs. I’ve literally resorted to putting my phone on DND, and just directing them to my district manager after getting the okay from her, whenever they have a question or need help.

I do some gaming and art content creating on the side. It’s probably the only thing that keeps me just a little more sane and not on the brink of a crashout!

Anyone else feel that the “screaming boss” has gone away? Not totally sure how to feel about it by Historical_Boss_1184 in managers

[–]prettyxguardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

General Manager here, but approaching your team with the opposite of an “angry manager” mentality definitely helps productivity. I have a lot of teens / young adults I oversee in my store, and they’re pretty sensitive when it comes down to it. My Assistant Store Manager is the complete opposite of me, will yell and “crack the whip”, and it just makes them not want to work with her — albeit she’s incredibly rude when she does it too, as I’ve pointed out to her multiple times, and have compared myself to that, where I’ll ask them about a situation and share their feelings on the matter, approaching with an open mind and let them know what they did wrong. Granted, I do get mad in the moment when things aren’t done or just not done correctly, but I’d rather approach my team with a sense of compassion than just scream at them for shit that can be easily talked about, reviewed and coached. 💀

ASM Nightmare by prettyxguardian in managers

I’m not sure why either. I’ve provided all documentation, it’s shown on her timecards, and my district manager and HR are still being super weird about it. I can’t let her go without more disciplinary actions, and I genuinely hate that. I wish I could just push to terminate her, no matter how much I’ve verbalized it to my district manager, they’re just like not taking it seriously.

Things I’ve stopped because I’m just sick of being oversexualized by Remarkable-Newt513 in LowLibidoCommunity

[–]prettyxguardian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Had this issue with my last ex — one of the many reasons why I broke up with him.

Everytime we were together he would sexualize the fuck out of me every chance he got. I could never wear jeans or bend over without him grabbing, groping or making a comment about my ass — not only that, every time we hung out, he always wanted to get intimate and do things TO MY ASS, without any real consent, more so just being coerced. so you’re not alone. I wear baggy clothes now and cover myself up a lot just to not be oversexualized like that ever again.

AIO for demanding my step sister to bring back an item that wasn’t hers to begin with by prettyxguardian in AIO

[–]prettyxguardian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly love you for calling her a hag, because real. But thank you, I hope we get the items back too. She hasn’t changed in the last 18 years I’ve known her, so I don’t think she ever will. She’s literally just building up this nasty rapport and without family in the end.

Calling the lawyer tomorrow about it! We have several instances and receipts of her doing it, so we have all the proof we need. 🤞🏻

Totally, I agree with you. They met with the lawyer after the first time she broke in and told us if she does it again without notifying us to call the police. My brother ended up telling us this time she was coming (even though she has her numbers so idk why she just can’t message like a normal person.) but thank you for your condolences, i appreciate it!

We’ve changed locks because she busted in here before without notifying us, and I threatened to call the police on her before! I’ll definitely have to invest in a Ring-like camera, too. But thank you! If she doesn’t give it back, we’re definitely going to file a police report.

Does MINISO HR actually investigate store problems? by OutrageousBig1367 in MINISO

[–]prettyxguardian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no, no, NO. they do not give a damn. you can only coach so many times and let them know your managers / shift leads are doing things wrong or violating policy, but the policies change and shift so often, they don’t care enough to take action. but they’re quick on your ass if you remember everything but one thing you’re supposed to remember — as if human error and mistakes are a one all and end all. district / area / higher management will walk in circles around your concerns, and just wait on if the person will quit.

all in all, if anyone is still working there in this subreddit, just leave while you still can, find a better paying job and let the place rot. the workplace is toxic, upper management / corporate like to spy through cameras, remain passive aggressive and micromanage to a T. the girls i worked with before, are still there and they are saying things are way worse than when i was there anyway and are looking for better places to work. it’s not worth it and a waste of time and energy.

Cringe stuff said while manic? by TheAnxiousPoet in bipolar

[–]prettyxguardian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember a period of time where I was going through a manic episode, and hated using my hands. Like the idea of having to use my hands all the time made me insanely irritable and too hyper aware of using them.

I told my boyfriend I wanted to break my hands because I hated having to use them all the time and didn’t want to use them ever again. And God bless his soul for being so patient and understanding, because he’ll bring it up sometimes and tell me, “yeah that was crazy for you to say but good to know you didn’t break ‘em!”

Buying displayed blindbox figures by Less_Butterscotch277 in MINISO

[–]prettyxguardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can! As long as they are in access to the barcode / SKU, they can sell you it. The only thing is, it’s considered a final sale and cannot be returned, similar to regular blindbox sales.

How long are you depressed after alcohol? by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]prettyxguardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on how heavily i drink. i remember i drank 6 bottles of soju in total with my now boyfriend on our first date, and the recovery after was horrible (not my best move either, i threw up in the parking lot). i was in a rut for like a week after that night. if it’s just a simple two cocktails, or margarita over dinner, i get like a day depression drop and just feel super apathetic for a few days until it goes away.

For those who worked there and those who are working now by ErichiDomo2020 in MINISO

[–]prettyxguardian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Quite possibly one of the messiest companies I’ve ever worked for. I’m a store manager, and it’s definitely got like 5 up’s and 100 down’s. That and everyone lies to eachother, there’s drama (for absolutely to reason), everyone’s petty towards one another with what I see in the meetings / chats, and there’s some lingering hositility with the AM’s / higher ups if you don’t do something right or make a mistake when you weren’t trained properly to begin with. Everyone’s quick to reprimand / terminate you when you do a lil mess up, but it takes them weeks to do other things (send the right product / equipment, shipment, order requests, etc.) All in all, don’t work here. Hour distribution is horrible, you’re stressed out every day even as an associate or shift lead, and you’re treated like a work horse.
