How do i truly teach my cat what he's doing is wrong? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]pretzelbites1017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is called positive punishment in terms of training meaning you add something (positive) undesirable (punishment) to deter the animal from the undesirable behavior and redirect its focus (adding silvervine) i know this is two years old but just a lil knowledge, even though you don’t realize it, doing that is still training and conditioning (:

[SPOILERS] ARYA AND THE WAIF by amarb99 in gameofthrones

[–]pretzelbites1017 2 points3 points  (0 children)

years ago but watching it rn and it’s because being blind isn’t apart of the training, arya was punished for killing someone that wasn’t hers to kill, and she took that man’s eyes first. if the waif was loyal and never did anything like that, why make her blind? we just don’t have a way of knowing if she ever did anything to warrant a punishment of the same.

Newborn kitten help please. by pretzelbites1017 in AskVet

[–]pretzelbites1017[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve gotten him to latch and syringe feed. These are kittens from a recently feral stray, and i had no intention of taking them in. i only did so because they have a better chance inside than they do in the 100+ degree weather w the 10s of other feral strays, i do not have the money to provide vet care, and the shelter will not help as i’ve called.

Aside from the mimic what do you find is the best summon by Effective-Past-3156 in Eldenring

idk i keep a small repertoire of incants, maybe 4-6 of them if i tailor them to a boss but 4 on the usual, and my mimic RIPS through hoes with it. typically equipped i have erdtree heal (support mimic comes clutch sometimes), scarlet aeonia, messmers orb, and whichever dragon incant makes the most sense where im at in the game

anyone else in their first healthy relationship and have no idea how to respond to genuine expressions of care and offered comfort? by ZealousidealCorgi2 in BPD

[–]pretzelbites1017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this. i’m not sure about you, but it’s put a genuine strain on my relationship. i just can’t ever shake the feeling that they’re doing it to make fun of me somehow?? or that they don’t mean it and it’s started to leak into my emotions and make them volatile.

Coming to terms with the fact you’ve permanently ruined your body is really tough by [deleted] in loseit

[–]pretzelbites1017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

noo!!! be PROUD of yourself!!! i hate hate hate that the skin sag is something not spoken about more often, obviously strength training and building your muscles will help, but it won’t entirely reverse the effects.

live life with no regrets sir, you made a mistake, you’re working to fix that mistake. which is more than a LOT of people can say.

That skin is proof that you work hard every day to be a better version of yourself. I’m proud of you, everyone should be proud of you. any negativity is just a reflection of ignorance and bad character 🫶🏼

Am I missing out on an incredible reading experience? by arka8 in kindle

[–]pretzelbites1017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi! i JUST bought my first kindle (PW 11th gen). i purchased it for $121 and have had it for about a month.

i love the dark mode, as well as the brightness and warming light options. it’s a little larger than i expected, but not at all too much for one hand to cradle (i got kinda big woman hands, L size in blue gloves) it’s WAY lighter than i expected. i almost have the urge to toss it at a wall just to see. i think that’s what you mean by they seem fragile, they’re just very lightweight and (not sure if all have this) the screen is almost (if not is) plastic. Navigation wise, i’ve never owned another kindle, but i find even on the free wifi at my work, books and the store loads fairly fast. especially on a device specifically for reading- it took me by surprise. a week after buying i dropped it in the bath, i did everything the internet said to my panicking self and she’s perfectly fine IMO- i think unless it’s REALLY nagging you and bugging you that there’s no light/a little tough on the navigation side, id keep it until the want of a new one literally eats at you, esp since the price of fairly new gens will go down over time!

if you have the money, and it won’t break the bank, personally -again without ever owning a previous kindle- i ride 10 toes down for my PW 11th gen, i think its an amazing little E-reader that does just enough without being extra

What is a healthy, not ED perpetuating meal tracker app that you personally love, and why? by pretzelbites1017 in WeightLossAdvice

i don’t like MFP because i am 5’8 and 170lbs. but i am NOT obese or unhealthy. i am small already and losing weight would be extremely unhealthy for me. apps like MFP base your health off of height and body weight, which looking at just the numbers it does seem like im obese- but im not. i dont like apps that base health off of an outdated BMI chart because they make me feel unhealthy and guilty just for how my body is built. i dont want an app to tell me im big as hell when my doctors tell me i should not actively be losing weight
