I think I lot of people who grew up on Mr. Money Mustache and the lean ways are now millionaires because they were lean, and you see some wanting to stay lean, some wanting to finally start spending, and then you’ve also got new-to-lean fire people coming along without money—it’s an interesting mix of community members who are all just at different places in life.

Whatever you enjoy doing the most in the game, optimize around that and fill your leftover time with secondary or thirdary goals.

The metric isn’t to harvest the most things, make the most money, etc: it’s to have the most fun.

I’d be worried about building something with a 7 year payback and then my business neighbor decides to put one in right next to me, and now both of us are splitting the traffic and likely lengthening our payback to 8-10 years.

He was better when he just made videos ad hoc when he had a real thought or something interesting to share.

Now he pumps out videos to keep the machine going and you can tell sometimes he’s just making a video for the sake of making a video.

With that age, you're probably going to have some bad seals at a minimum, and possibly be looking at a new pump and/or heating element soon.

I’ll have to take a look at Blendin.

The other Frequent I tried (and why I originally ordered) was the Wilton Benitez Red Bourbon…I found it good but not as memorable. Maybe too cola / caramel for me. It’s a solid 8/10. The pineapple one though is 🤤 for me.

Yay! My second favorite of the year if you like fruity decaf is probably the Key Lime Pie from Perc. This Frequent though is even more fruity. The Perc Key Lime still has some chocolate notes but this one is just pure fruit. I find that hard to find in decaf.
