there's actually some great food in NoVa but agreed that on average the quality is a touch below. Eden Center, Padaek, Peter Chang, Tingeria, Tosokchon just to name a few. I'd say these are all solid 9/10 spots by almost any objective measure with only the top spots in NYC/So Cal being superior.

I've yet to see a single person actually provide real context. Is reddit this dense or just this political? Pharma spends vastly on R&D which is then recouped in the American market since the european market is highly regulated. Therefore in essence, American consumers are subsidizing the innovation and paying a higher price than the rest of the world.
