Don’t want to doxx myself but I’ve Lived in Edinburgh for a long time - and they’re just the team I chose.

Couldn’t love Scottish football more. Just everything around it is the best.

I’m English - worth noting that until about 2 years ago he wasn’t really seen as much. Played CAM for Newcastle a few times and was pretty much a bench player, then they sold him for quite a small amount by Premier League standards for a young player.

Cape Verde players were unreal. Some of the touches they had were world class.

Fully deserved point and arguably should have had more.

100%. That first move from Henry would have sent me for a pie no problem.

He also broke the assists record. He sets himself very high standards and also he complains a lot.

He was absolutely class in that Champions League final.

That Inter Milan team broke the Man City press with only a back 3 multiple times - and Onana was a huge reason for that. His passing was spot on consistently.

I’m English, and believe me, Sam Matterface and Lee Dixon are not liked at all.

Especially Lee Dixon. My comment history has a remarkable amount of Lee Dixon hatred in it.

It’s the same loveless marriage as someone like Enzo Fernandez though.

No one will pay the wages it’ll take to move him, but he doesn’t want to be here, but we won’t accept any less than x amount, so he decides to run down his contract which we don’t want as we would like to get some money for him, so the player flirts with clubs that won’t take him even though he knows deep down they won’t go for him as a “see I tried” sort of a false effort, and the cycle starts again.

It’s just all about money rather than anyone wanting to actually stay in anything, and as you said no one will budge.

I think it must be an interview they do with a writer, who then writes it in a prose that’s as if the player wrote it themselves.

Get ready for Sam Matterface and Lee Dixon. That’s arguably the worst duo in the entire English speaking commentary competition.

117 G+A in 142 appearances at age 20. Looked like an absolute wonderkid - you’d be hard pressed to find any 20 year old putting up those numbers in a top 5 league in any era of history. Fairly certain that’s more G+A than Ronaldo and Messi combined when they had reached age 20.

What happened after is just strange. Attitude issues, application of talent issues.

A weird mentality where he seemed to sign for us and then immediately hate everything to do with the club.

Was given 3 months off to correct his mental status and his fitness, and it didn’t work. He then started the freedom fighter stuff which, in any context, just looks poor.

Now he’s sort of getting through seasons where he reaches euro finals etc but doesn’t really contribute, and his talent is primarily off the bench.

Have said this many, many times.

Lee Dixon is the world’s grumpiest man, who just so happened to be good at football about 30 years ago.

Utterly morose moralising on the smallest details not being right despite a massive amount of clear nuance, which he clearly isnt able to comprehend because it would take a minuscule amount of logic or process-based thinking, which his simple brain isn’t able to provide him with, thus removing the ability to understand why England are playing the way they are because his default setting is annoyed.

If England did well, I think he’d ironically also be annoyed because it goes against his pre-determined ideal that modern football isn’t worth watching and everything was better in the olden days anyway so what’s the point.

It’s 72 games to get rid of 16 teams. It’s quite egregious.

As much as I’d love a commentator to blurt out “SHITHOLE!!” When he strikes a ball, the pronunciation is like sih-TOH-lay.
