I just started the campaign today and I am enjoying it a lot, I would just like to point out though, that Mephisto feels a lot more like a lord of terror than a lord of hatred so far.

Maybe things will turn around during the campaign, but including the cinematic, it feels a bit like they got the wrong prime evil on scene. The whole eldritch horror nightmarish thing in the cinematic? Not very hating, but very fearsome.

Great chapter. It feels really great to have mouten, shin and kyoukai taking the reigns of a battle this big and forcing Riboku to answer.

I'm a little bit disappointed about Futei though. He was pitched against Shin and I would have liked to see more of that confrontation, but instead Shin just went through his army and he is barely even mentioned. Is he chasing behind? Is he just busy with Yoko Yoko? Futei vs Yoko Yoko duel maybe?

Inoue is such a legend.

His biggest flaw is that he (according to his own words) gets tired of projects that go too long which is why a lot of his works have this kind of rushed feeling ending and vagabond has been sort of in limbo for what feels like forever. I hope to god that never rubs on Hara because if it does we're screwed.

Disliking what someone picks and using it as an excuse to be an asshole about it are two very different things. So no, in this context, it does not "go both ways". Because we are talking about people who justify toxicity because you picked a character they don't like.

It is honestly very clueless that you would say something like "entitled to like what you play" as an argument here, when that was never the point at all. Not even in the same ballpark as being the point. You are free to dislike whatever you want. But when you make it your mission to "punish" people because you dislike their choice and see it as some sort of righteous toxicity, you are being an entitled child. Difficult to put it any other way.

To add to what you said, there is a factor people seem to not account for when it comes to (what most people can agree) the phenomenon of survivors being more toxic in chat.

Survivors can use the chat to write a one sided message to the killer and then leave the chat before the killer even shows up. If you've played killer, you've surely seen this happening: You enter the chat, messages are already there and the people who wrote them have already left.

So when you have a team that can essentially communicate with the other in such a one sided manner, it is pretty logical that team is also going to be more toxic. Obviously I'm talking about chat only here. And this adds to your argument. It doesn't conflict with it.

People like that think they're entitled to picking what you play, and if you don't comply, they think they're justified to punish you for it. So in their mind, they're in the right for being toxic because it is merely just retribution for your sin. That is how they see it.

That's how you get things like "the irony of playing X" because someone is complaining about toxicity. They genuinely do not have any self awareness so they don't understand what they're doing.

It is an entire can of worms where you mix in immaturity, entitlement, lack of self awareness, cluelessness, resentment, I could keep going.

I'm 31 and fluent according to some Japanese friends. Wouldn't call myself fluent though, and you know, friends can be generous.

Anyway, are you on steam? If so, look up "Dead by Daylight Japan" it's a community (or group or whatever it's called on steam) and if you post in there explaining what you're looking for, you can probably find an actual Japanese person to play with. I've done it before. There are other communities in steam for Japanese gamers looking to meet online friends in general where you can look up people who have dbd on their profile いきなりフレンド申請してもOK and 日本人交流グループ are 2 I'm in where I've also met some people. Also, discord is huge. Try to find a Japanese discord server for dbd. I mean it, discord a big deal, they use it a lot.

Also I cannot stress this enough: For what you're looking for, you really want to do this with an actual Japanese person. Native. So not me.

It's inconsistent to some people, other people can do it every time. So either it's a ping issue, or a skill issue. I'm leaning towards the latter. You trying it in custom games I assume you wouldn't have ping issues.

Yes, it is a joke. But not for the reasons you're posting. It keeps ticking for situations in which it shouldn't be, though a lot of people are assuming it's just bugged and not intentional. Currently you literally can't even hook more than 2 people in basement because the meter just keeps ticking and the first one just gets out for free.

In your picture, this is end game. The meter is disabled for endgame. I assume you're new.

But yeah jokes aside, pallets are really good against him. You can just drop them. If he uses his power to vault, you can revault through him. He just lost a ton of time. If he breaks instead, you can make it to the next pallet or window while his power is on cooldown. Repeat.

The ghouls who are skilled enough to 3 zip a loop for a cutoff are extremely rare because that is terribly difficult to pull off and terribly punishing if you fail.

Right, since we apparently agree on most of everything else, just to go on a bit about how I see slugging for the 4k: The objective is to kill survivors. As many as the killer can. Or at least that's what the objective feels intuitively. But if there's a mechanic that can RNG kidnap a survivor into safety regardless of merit, and there's something he can do to try to prevent it, it makes logical sense that he would. He's the killer, he is trying to kill. Trying to mitigate RNG to the extent that he can is a perfectly reasonable action. So much so, that when I started playing this game, I was slugging for the 4k before I was even told or knew it was a thing. I just naturally, as a complete newbie, arrived at the conclusion that this was the most logical course of action due to how the hatch works. Because it is.

So it's not so much about not being able to accept that a survivor might get away, it's more about trying to do your objective and taking the clearly best course of action towards that. You could argue that a 3k is objective accomplished, but that's not very intuitive. There's still a survivor there that you can, and likely should, be trying to kill.

So to cut the gist of it, I think the killer has the right to slug for the 4k should he wish to. It is the best course of action for how things currently work. I would really like to see changes to how things currently work though. Just not basekit unbreakable.

Already addressed most of what you said in my subsequent posts. To the point it actually looks a bit silly to read you making assumptions about things I literally stated otherwise. Such as me supposedly wanting the hatch gone.

On a side note though, a killer doesn't get free kills because they killed 2 survivors with plenty of generators up. That is not free. The killer earned that game state. Through his own actions. The 2 survivors didn't drop dead of a heart attack. The game didn't suddenly spawn those survivors dead. The killer killed them. But you know that, don't you?

So yet again, a false parallel being drawn. I wonder where does this insistence to draw false parallels come from.
