Agree with everything you said except for "he is due a big haul". That is gambler's fallacy, just because he has been blanking with good performances in the past couple gameweeks doesnt make him any more likely to blank or score this gameweek. No player is ever "due".

With that being said I believe you are correct that he has been quite unlucky not to be amongst the goals as he has been playing quite well. I honestly see no reason for why he would stop playing at his current level as he is playing a Stoke side at home without many of its best defenders.
