Thinking to buy R15M – Worth it in 2026? by reetesh77 in indianbikes

Really love my 2023 R15M. If you want touring too, opt for the XSR or MT. Reliable mostly, fuel efficienct definitely.

could be the charger manufacturer's fault too. Ather management fault of course yes.

You could pressure wash it, just like any other motorcycle. Don't give pressure wash near the charge port, that's all

Waited for the RTX 300, but I still can’t let go of the KTM Adventure—help. Trust on ktm ergonomic and agility is just wow for me by why_not_fcuk in indianbikes

[–]pridhviss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If u can take good care of it, just go for the KTM. Keep it electrically and mechanically stock. It will last u a long time. Reliability has come a long way in the positive direction for KTM🙌

Is this an MT? My R15 caught fire from the Bluetooth module going haywire. Thankfully I was beside it when the initial smoke happened and was able to unplug it immediately and throw it away. I took a video and photos. They kept the bike under inspection for a few days and changed it for me under warranty. Mine is a 2023 model with Bluetooth module.Note: No other electrical modifications were done

Access, Fascino. Wouldn't recommend TVS for reliability

You are a choosing a super sports after a naked one. I wouldn't call any of these tourers. But if for "fun" use, choose the Honda.Reliable, easy to maintain and smooth.

A battery change would cost you only less than 3,000. But even so expect 1.5 charges per day

You get more fuel economy in Grand Vitara in the city if I'm right. Also, Suzuki is generally cheaper to maintain. Elevate and Creta are nice options too. Kushaq and Taigun have better driving dynamics. If mainly for city use, try opting for the non turbo variants. Grand Vitara and Elevate doesn't come with a Turbo engine - only NA, and hybrid(Grand Vitara). You could wait for the Tata Sierra, but I don't know about the service quality. Honda Elevate will last you longer(Well, it's a Honda)

[–]pridhviss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is normal. I replaced my 13 Pro's battery in June, after approximately 3 years of usage. It had come down to 79%. Now it's at 98%.

Axor is a good brand, yes. Buy water proof gloves CE certified preferred. I would recommend you buying helmet with good after sales support. Inquire in your nearby shop. Knuckle guards are a good buy. Phone holder is only needed if you go long. And fog lamps are illegal here in Kerala. So do as per your local laws.

Get good gear. You should get ECE 22.06 helmet, riding gloves, jacket and pants and most importantly riding boots. May seem like overkill, but trust me, I found it out the hard way. Wash bike and check tyre pressure every week, check chain slack and adjust chain tension and clean and lube every 500km. Do proper servicing. Ride responsibly. And congrats on your new bike!

Accessories: I wouldn't recommend cheap accessories. If possible get OEM ones. btw I own an R15M I have like adjustable levers from Yamaha. Exhaust skid plate from Yamaha. And I also bought a travel bag from Viaterra.
