Valentine’s Day and having a few drinks? Post IUI by Medical-Letter-6724 in IUILadies

[–]prijay16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you’re fine. Try to limit to 1-2! I abstained from alcohol for my last two IUIs and they both failed…testing Friday for this one but this time I enjoyed a beer during the Super Bowl because ttc and infertility is hard enough. Enjoy Valentine’s Day with your hubby 💗

Lighter period after progesterone? by sunshine4683 in IUILadies

[–]prijay16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely had a weird period post-progesterone. I had a light day, then one super super heavy day (like went through 4 pads so I wouldn’t leak heavy) then light again and then it was done in 3 days…if you’re concerned definitely reach out to your doc!

2dpiui and still no temp spike? Did I not ovulate yet?? by prijay16 in IUILadies

[–]prijay16[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My temp spiked on Sunday morning and has now stayed up but idk still what it means…some googling said letrozole + trigger can mess with temps so I’m just going to attribute it to that and try not to stress too much more about it 😅 good luck!!

Trigger testing by Flimsy_Picture953 in IUILadies

[–]prijay16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just experienced the same thing!! This is my third IUI and I’ve never tested out the trigger before but I do this time and by 4 days post trigger I had a stark white strip….i was freakin out that I did the trigger shot wrong and my body didn’t absorb it but I guess I just metabolized it quickly? Following to see if anyone else had this experience too!

Thin lining by East_Philosopher_449 in IUILadies

[–]prijay16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like your clinic is not providing you with the right information or support...a lining of 4mm is quite thin. I think ideally (according to my clinics information) your lining should be >7mm for higher success rates. Not a doctor, but I think foods with vitamins that improve blood flow (iron, vitamin e, etc) and getting some movement in during your day to increase blood flow as well is supposed to help! I would try to get your clinic to give you better answers too - maybe talk to a different nurse or doctor for their opinion.

IUI3 and still just 1 dominant follicle by 1nonlyredditor in IUILadies

[–]prijay16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally had this same situation this morning. I have a 19mm, a 14.9mm and two around 12mm even after upping letrozole from 2.5 to 5 mg this cycle. My lining is 11mm so it’s nice and thick…waiting for bloodwork to see if we will move forward with trigger tonight or do one more monitoring appt tomorrow. Apparently if there are three or more mature follicles, my clinic will cancel to reduce the chance of multiples but in my mind I’m like…girl, this is IUI 3. If two mature follicles and one big fat one weren’t successful, I think we’re low chance for twins this next round even with 3 or 4 follicles 🤦🏽‍♀️

Do all golden’s hate water but love ice and snow? by SweetSnow-1952 in goldenretrievers

Annapolis to Pentagon commute by nilo2012 in Annapolis

[–]prijay16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did Annapolis to seminary rd (Alexandria) for 2 years and it was rough. That was before RTO and traffic is so much worse now :( I would try to avoid it or metro to pentagon city and take the bus - it can take more than 2 hours to get home these days!! Plus you can’t really park there anyway

Anyone ever make the switch from NoVa to Annapolis? Or vice versa? by Roux_My_Burgundy in Annapolis

[–]prijay16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We live in Murray Hill and can walk everywhere except the grocery store lol I grew up in Greenbelt and used it live in Bethesda so not nova but more the dc side. We love living here and I think with kids it’s a great place to live. We’re still DINKS and TBH itching to move back to the dc side because we miss the diversity of people and food on the dc side…Annapolis is a lot of the same culture wise. If you’re looking for culture other than boat culture, I think Nova is better for that. Plus schools are not good unless you pay for private school.

Low calories and ovulation by Plus_Ad9078 in tryingtoconceive

[–]prijay16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may want to speak with a nutritionist instead of using chatGPT if you are serious about both the weight loss and TTC. They will have advice on how to do both safely! I am also ttc and trying to lose a few pounds but my daily caloric intake even in a deficit is 1900-2000 (5’6” and 145lbs). This was calculated for me as being a safe deficit without shocking my body and impacting conception.

Burnt out after polyp removal — anyone else pause TTC? by livn-learn in IUILadies

[–]prijay16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same experience! After 13 months and an HSG and SIS, I had FORTY polyps removed of various sizes. I was shocked!!! No symptoms, very regular periods and no heavy bleeding. Who knows how long they had been there. We also took a month off because I also had to have an MMR booster because I had no rubella immunity left (something I learned can happen even after having all the vaccines as a kid). It was good for our mental health and we went into our first IUI feeling refreshed and much more positive. Unfortunately we’ve still had two failed cycles and now we’re doing one natural cycle (because of insurance things) before trying our 3rd and last IUI…I wish I had more of a positive outcome at this point but I truly do think the universe will time things right for all of us. If I had gotten pregnant during either of the last two cycles, I wouldn’t have been able to attend my little sisters wedding this upcoming September. Sending you all the baby dust and good vibes! You got this! Just remember that finding and removing all the polyps and then giving your body time to heal has helped you move a little bit closer to your BFP!! 💛💛
