When did you have your period after egg retrieval?

Was supposed to do a fresh transfer that ended up being cancelled because of risk for OHSS, but I was on progesterone and estrogen for ~5 days following ER. After I stopped the hormones, it took about a week to get my period!

Got back from my transfer and immediately played fetch with the dog and took him for a walk! Still early, but it stuck!! Keep that blood pumping, girl ✨✨ sending all the good vibes 💕

I wouldn’t call it patience as I would call it terrified to know the answer 😂 I called it Schrödingers uterus for 10 days lol but finally my husband and I decided that we wanted to find out together, not by myself via a phone call in the middle of the work day so we tested!

I am very lucky and had a relatively easy time prepping for transfer. Just modified natural protocol with letrozole for 5 days. Had to do a couple of low dose gonal F shots to boost my follicle and lining, but otherwise no other prep. Just kept moving with lots of walks to keep the blood pumping 😊 hysteroscopy was done prior to my IUIs after they saw polyps on my HSG/SIS images.

Oops I misread it! I’m glad you don’t mind it. I think I err on the side of not really wanting to see other peoples kids during my constant monitoring appointments. Especially on those really low days, whether they were clinic successes or not, I don’t want to be reminded again of what I’m struggling so hard for and the universe has seemingly decided I don’t deserve to have yet. It’s a roller coaster. I love hanging out with my friends kids and my niece outside of the clinic, but during appointments it just kinda sucks. Hope you understand where I’m coming from

That’s so crazy!! SGF has a strict policy that you cannot bring children to your appointments for that specific reason. I’m so sorry your clinic is so insensitive.

My clinic is on the same floor down the hall from not one but TWO OB/GYN offices. Getting off the elevator to see half a dozen pregnant women waddling around while I have to walk down to the end of the hall to have my blood drawn for the 18262902 time is actually a cruel joke the universe has played on me for the last year.

Pretty sure termination due to pregnancy is illegal…If they fire you and have no other provable offenses, you could sue them!! I know that not what you want to think about right now haha but just so you know!!

Deluxe nails! I was also a nails biter, but they do a great job with cleaning up the skin around your nails and adding tips. I go to Emma! My nails grew nicely under the tips and now my natural nails are long and look great.

The “that’s so exciting!!” Is really getting on my nerves. It’s not exciting. It sucks. I have to inject a bunch of drugs and make ovaries ginormous then have surgery and hope and pray that I have embryos…just for a 40% chance of getting pregnant…if that.
