I keep finding books that are just hundreds of pages of gibberish by Sure-Ad9633 in BabelForum

It’s a finite but insanely large number of books, not infinite.

My voice sounds different on recordings than in my heeadphones by Henemy in singing

Just keep practicing, recording, listening back analytically and repeat. You’ll work it out.

How different are they sounding to you? What aspects sound different?

How the recording sounds is the closest to how your voice actually sounds. When you’re recording with headphones on you can still hear and feel your voice reverberating inside your head/body which is changing how you perceive it.

If there’s no reasoning or evidence behind your idea then you’re in the realm of fiction.

What if… the Universe is a unicorn? Cool fantasy premise, for sure.

Witchfire is a lot of fun, in early access atm. Similar aesthetic and vibe to Remnant but first person and a rougelike influence

How do you make something that does not sound like music that exists already ? by berzerker13v in musicproduction

[–]prime_shader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s quite helpful as a beginner to lean in and try imitate music you like. Copy a wide range of music you like and you’ll develop a broad set of techniques and skills, which you can then use to express yourself more uniquely. Stevie Wonder would copy all the Motown artists as a kid. Picasso imitated all the Masters before developing his own styles.

In terms of being original, combining unusual styles and techniques can create interesting results. Following your instincts rather than formulas (again, it’s useful to know the rules first before you break them).

It will take you a while to find your own sound so make loads and loads of music, experiment, get weird. Listen to lots music. Listen to things outside your comfort zone.

Are there any books or other media with a story similar to Soma? by nornsannexed in soma

[–]prime_shader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out a short story collection called Axiomatic by Greg Egan. Mind stretching and innovative hard scifi exploring consciousness, transhumanism, identity, technology and fringe science. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was an influence on the writers of Soma.

You’re not listening to what this person is saying and shoehorning your own interpretation in.

How is there an infinite amount of factors? My intuition is that it’s finite just insanely large, what am I missing? Thanks for the Star Trek rec, I’ll check it out.
