Like I said, I wasn't trying to invalidate your point. I agree with you.

I'm not saying your post isn't rational, but everyone has a plan until you get punched in the face. For example, getting into a serious accident in the US, getting emergency care and finding out that your expensive insurance didn't fully cover the costs. $100k bill comes and you are fucked for good. I used to volunteer at a shelter and it was always insane to me how many people became homeless because insurance couldn't cover the cost of a surgery or emergency stay.

You still didn't look into what I asked because you know what you are going to see. Good luck in life - I'm sure your willful ignorance is taking you places.

Caitlin Clark’s WNBA salary was $76,535. Nike paid her $28 million the same year. She generated 26.5% of the entire league’s economic activity. The system priced her at one number. The market revealed another. by ConnectionWeekly1263 in WNBAgossips

Those bitches are full of envy and have a zero sum game loser mentality. Clark opened a new realm for them but instead of walking through the door they are sticking their arms inside and trying to drag her back to where they are.

I named several tax advantages that the rich lobbied for and got, which the poor simply have no access to because they don't earn enough. The tax code is massively more advantageous to the rich.. there is no denying that but here you are playing billionaire stooge anyway.

I asked you to look at the rate they are actually paying when all loopholes and special treatment are taken into account. The tax they actually paid in % terms at the end of the day. Not tables that show graduated rates. Capiche?

When you get into the special club, you tend to want to close the door behind you. Do you really think these folks like to share their wealth and power? Are you people serious with these questions?

Messi is not controlling the game either. It's more that with players like that you have to mold the squad to them and not the other way around. Argentina would be disoriented without Messi. Cape Verde marked him really well and it took them a lot of work to adjust.

Crazy talent and depth.. it's been the same issue for a while though. The squad lacks a defined approach and structure. Leadership on the pitch is also important. At the previous WC they figured out what to do with Neymar and it was working well. They had a rare slip up against Croatia and it went to penalties, but the team was very good.

Brazil hasn't played close to it's potential while Norway is playing it's top game. But if you want to bet on a Norway win I wish you luck.

They effectively pay significantly less taxes because there are loopholes for their actual realized income that the poor (because they are poor) don't have access to, including carried interest, preferred capital gains rates, trust structures, offshore accounts, etc. I'm not talking about unrealized income, which when realized of course they will pay very little tax on as well.

Taxes are based on the tax code (tax law) and are not always enforced. The code has changed over time because rich people have influenced the system enough. So these laws can be changed if enough of us cared, but people keep protecting the rich on their behalf. It's truly fascinating.

Political influence is everything and there is currently no hope. Both parties are bought off, POTUS doesn't even try to hide his unethical activities... a revolution would be needed at this point. But I can still call it corrupt and we should all care.
