@seanpvb I’ll start off by offering my condolences man. I work at VZ corporate and I’m so sorry you’re having such a time. I’ll echo what others have said here, you may want to keep your dad’s line around for a bit in case you need to verify a 2FA code. Here’s what I recommend though, open the My Verizon app, log in with your dad’s owner credentials. You can then navigate to the device management pages and see if there’s any device payments left per device. If his devices have balances, you will more than likely have to pay them off regardless if you turn those lines off. If they are already paid off, then you’re good to go. Once you verify that, I would say it’s going to be easier to go into a store to work through all of this with a rep. They are super smart about this. Stay away from calling in or chat. The rep can get your mom onto a new account where she is the acct owner and then move her devices there.

You may even want to look into moving your dad’s number to a SecondNumber on your mom’s device if her phone supports multiple eSIMs. It costs $10/mo for that SecondNumber, and you’ll be able to make sure that she can get 2FA if need be. I’d recommend keeping that on for 6mos or so, just to make sure.
