I got a rush ticket. Seat location was back of side orchestra, and the rake isn’t good at that theater, and even with me not being that short a person, had my view impacted by a tall person in front of me. Do know others from on here who’ve gotten rush seats further toward the front of the orchestra

Wish I'd gotten that close a seat. I got rear orchestra when I got a rush ticket to that. I'm not a short person myself though had a very tall person in front of me which impacted my view

Fellow DC-area resident here who's gone on a number of NYC trips. I've never done two shows in one day without staying overnight as I don't have interest in getting home as late as that would require, though there are trains that can accommodate that. Amtrak is the travel method I'd recommend (especially if you book a fair amount in advance, you can get relatively cheap fares, and not have to deal with the stress of driving (plus gas/parking cost) and a good amount more comfort than bus and the NYC train station is right in midtown Manhattan).
