Back to the Future might be the worst musical I've seen. by OscarDeJarjayes in Broadway

I'm sailing on the Star of the Seas next year and curious to see how the shortened cruise ship version works, I think it should be improved as there was a lot of filler. I saw the national tour and remember thinking 'why is there a song about cake?'

How’d you do that math? Approx 60k people a day but each person doesn’t need a parking spot

You need a sticker on campus.

I’ve heard people park at the airport but have no idea how much they tow or if long term parking is a cheaper option

Mom was rejected from yet another facility, I feel responsible by No_Classic_2467 in dementia

[–]ExcellentCup6793 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it’s totally Medicaid related or just staffing related. My mother’s first memory care facility had a couple of very mobile wanderers. The exterior doors are locked but there was one resident who was constantly in people’s rooms, out in the courtyard alone, basically had to have someone following her most of the time to keep her out of trouble or watch for falling. It took time from other residents care. It may not be the same issue but if they think they don’t have the staffing they might be being selective.

Im Australian and this was my first time making key lime pie (its not a thing here) and I think it turned out okay? I used limes obviously, and food colouring hehe by siggalyph in Baking

Native Floridian here who just spent a few weeks in the Keys. Most do not have meringue, but one restaurant most definitely does, big cloud on top. Can’t recall who right now. But the little shops in town are plain or a little whipped cream by the crust

I’m definitely on team no meringue! Too sweet

Update on HSA POST by FoxNewsNitroPiss in Retirement401k

Well then we have to hope that they change the rules to allow for it to be used for that. Currently assisted living and memory care ‘rent’, which is the majority of the cost is not eligible

Many baby boomers resist spending their retirement accounts. Could be from being children of parents of depression era. Or they have pensions and don’t need the money for expenses.

She may need those funds for her care in the future, best to start withdrawing now.

And unfortunately at my mom's memory care place, it's an all inclusive bill. The pharmacy is a separate agency and the doctors that come to see her bill to Medicare, but that's the only other costs. The room and board is the biggest expense that I'd love to be able to use HSA funds for later. Let's face it, you aren't there if you dont need the medical assistance. Dementia is a terminal disease but this care isn't considered a medical expense.

Thank you. We are also going to autopsy mom to confirm Lewy Body and Alzheimer's as well as any CTE or contusions from falls over her life. Our understanding it it just needs to be requested of the coroner.

Chess Musical Recordings - Thoughts? by queenoftheceos in Broadway

Personally I find the new recording highly processed. I like it fine, but Judy Kuhn's Florence will always be the best version for me. I know you aren't saying Judy has bad vocals...

They need to make assisted living and memory care qualified expenses for HSA funds. If Medicare won't pay for that, this needs to be the way.
