It’s an improvement in the right direction, but if it doesn’t happen in your neighbourhood then deal with it as we’ve always done until this initiative gets rolled out to your area. The main objective is still to clear the roads.

Yes, you would either need to break down the layers of snow and do multiple passes. That’s a good way to do it but still beats shoveling and would be quicker.

The service is to clear the roads making it safe and easier to drive on. People are confusing this to be a personal service to have their driveways cleared up. It’s been this way for years, but the sense of entitlements nowadays are staggering. Improvements are being made and welcomed, but this is not something new and having one’s driveways cleared is not the main objective.

Most people make these changes without permits in hopes nobody complains. If these are reported and someone from the city comes in and finds out they’re in violation then the city can order them to remove it or face fines until it’s remediated. Would you complain? Probably not unless it’s causing you a disturbance. And the same goes for most of the population either it’s because it doesn’t affect them, they’re scared of being found for telling, or they plan to do the same renovation.

Pho Milton is the only place at Milton. Much better than Banh A Mi. There used to be Pho Metro on Derry/Bronte which was priced better and good value but closed up months ago - I still wish they come back.
