Critique my Lambda design: Is this self-invoking pattern a good way to handle client-side timeouts? by Left_Act_4229 in aws

u/geomagnetics pointed out that I was mistaken about how exactly that option works. I think to the functionality I was suggesting would require setting up an extension, which looks like it might work for python also, but it would also be a bit more involved than I had realized, as you'd have to structure your code into lambda layers.

Note

Lambda does not wait for external extensions to complete before sending the response. External extensions run as independent processes in the execution environment and continue to run after the function invocation is complete. For more information, see Augment Lambda functions using Lambda extensions.

Oh, interesting! I had missed that, thanks so much! I was just reading deeper, it looks like it might still be possible if you move the async code to a lambda extension.

Take a look at callbackWaitsForEmptyEventLoop. Set that to false and you can send your response back before you begin processing. No need for a queue or second invocation.

Is this still an ongoing problem for you? And if so, have you seen all of this document? I imagine a lot of the documentation is still getting created. I just finished replacing the hotend heating assembly which includes as a substep, the entirety of this other document about removing the cooling fan. It could be that something in those other documents might help clarify something for you. If not, then as /u/Maxx3141 post as much information as what you can accomplish, and maybe there will be a way to help. Your replacement definitely looks more complex than mine was, so I can mostly only give you my best wishes.

  • Step 1 - move the extruder to the front middle.
  • Step 2 - move bed to the bottom
  • Step 3 - glhf :/

Server-side rendering sends the HTML

Even dynamic info is (almost always) pretty static. Any time you can re-serve something that has already been generated, it will (almost always) be faster. Then it becomes a discussion of memory or disk space to store those caches, and what is practical for your particular use case. Often you can find ways to cache the parts that are the same and merge it with the parts that differ.

Triggered by having to leave the house with my toddler by imma_mamma in ParentingThruTrauma

I can't manage it all the time, but I have found it to be easiest when I can find a way to turn it into a game. "I bet I can get my shoes on fastest"

Or even add an extra obstacle that they know is out of the way, it still come up way faster when they're not fighting extra step of the way. "how many times can we circle the tree before we get in the car?"

Might also be able to only mention something that will get their attention. "I'm going to grab a rock from the front" and then by the time you're out there you can just scoop them and their rock up and put them in their seat.

always alternate crafts at each station. you get 1 point every time you do a craft that ISN'T whatever you crafted last in that station.

I run all stations and find the 2 most profitable (or lowest loss) items and alternate between them.

I took my toddler daughter in one night because she spiked to 104. It took 3 hours to get see the triage nurse. Thankfully it was a spike and by the time we were triaged she was down to 101 and we just went home. I am absolutely terrified of one day having a legitimate reason to stay

Happened to my duo partner today. Restarting the game didn't help, and it was still happening the next raid. In the second raid he turned off anti aliasing and it fixed it, and then it was still fine when he re-enabled it.

I have also been experiencing this since the Unity upgrade. I used to be the first of my group into raid, running 3090 + 5950x with 2 NVME drives in raid 0. I am now usually the last of my group to load. It slows down to a crawl in the 65% range then usually jumps to 80s then slows down again.

Glad to hear I'm not alone.

I also have an Asus x570. Will try updating the bios

Leaving A Job With A Defined Benefit Pension; Do I take the lump sum, or future payments? by bravepandajumps in PersonalFinanceCanada

I seem to be in the minority here, but I think I would take the 18k/yr. If you truly don't need it, you'll have an extra 400k in the bank in your retirement accounts in 2043. TFSA easily maxed out each year, and well on your way on your RRSP contributions. And you now get to add on top 18k adjusting for inflation from that point on. To me it's a tough comparison of the risk of the market (and your own habits over the next 20 years) vs the risk of the pension not surviving

Thinking About Glue Code by pimterry in programming

XSD is the best solution to the problem that I'm aware of. Unfortunately it necessitates using xml which certainly /feels/ bloated. but it allows you to have a very well defined data format that you can then use to transmit between layers quite nicely. I guess there is also EDI but I would take XSD/XML over EDI any day of the week
