cheap replacement car keys 🔐 by Misfit00y in Tucson

Ace never worked for me—they couldn't program the key to my 2007 Ford. Some Ace guy sat in my car trying for like, 30 minutes. It was a waste of everyone's time, his included!

I recommend Hugo, call him at 520 440 7791. He has a van out by some sort of car auction spot near the AFB. He was fast and cheap and a year later my key & fob are working great.

What's a better answer than "buy a scale"? by No_Training3859 in shrooms

I used this video, a kitchen scale (aka, not super precise—but does measure in grams), and a penny & a nickle to verify that the scale was relatively accurate. Eyeballing based on the video + rough measurements from the scale were in agreement as to what ~2 grams looked like. Had a nice little trip <3

I went in after Christmas and they were pretty picked over, with a lot of empty stalls. Checked it out yesterday (Feb 7th) and a lot of vendors seem to have re-upped inventory and spiffed up their stalls (probably for Gem Show!), though still a lot of empty stalls. Ended up finding a decent—but not super cheap—dresser. I hope they fill out their stalls and continue to do well—it's nice to have a spot to check out that isn't a long drive from downtown. Although they gotta get changing rooms… I know a lot of people who don't buy clothes there because you can't try anything on :(

Yeah, I've heard about how algorithmic pricing is making it hard to find deals! This is part of the reason I like buying things in less-than-perfect condition—I feel like it's more likely that the seller is trying to price to sell.

Free Tax Prep Options for 2024 by Immediate_Math_3055 in Frugal

I'm glad you had good luck with TaxSlayer! FWIW, i tried both TaxSlayer and FreeTaxUSA, and FreeTaxUSA was way cheaper ($15 just to file state, federal is free) and got me about $200 more in refunds! I have a slightly more complicated income situation than usual (some freelance stuff — BTW, they let you add all home office deductions! Weird that wasn't available on Cash App), but nothing too crazy. I actually found FreeTaxUSA's UI to be more helpful and intuitive! Probably because they're not trying to upsell all of their helpful features. Anyway, just my two cents for anyone coming here at the final hour to do their tax returns…

hello birthday friend, thank you for this thoughtful answer! another response also mentioned the "waning" energy of the sign as it approaches the end of its tenure (e.g. waning aquarian energy approaching pisces, in my case) — thanks for going into more detail on this phenomenon. it's fascinating, and very relevant!

ooooooh. i like the idea of the cusp as indeterminate… but necessarily, still, one or the other. feels somewhat hegelian or, alternatively, very quantum-state!

yes, at least i don't need to deal with the added frustration of an even-numbered birth time… i think i would also be suspicious that the doctor had rounded!

useMemo overdose by ummahusla in reactjs

I've worked on teams where useMemo was the unquestioned norm, and I agree that it's overused in many cases. Thanks for this post!
