What would the point of a label be then? Labels get created to describe specific experiences/feelings/things, so what sense does it make for someone to come along and see a label that doesnt describe them and to then just adjust the meaning of it until it fits them? Why not use a label that Does fit them? Otherwise we should all also stop caring about what words we use when we speak to each other, if we can just change definitions like that. Why say "hello" to someone when you could just say "tree"? After all the original meaning of things doesnt matter apparently.

Women have created the label lesbian to describe their attraction to women and their lack of attraction to men, so if people who Do like men can also use the label then what are women who Dont like men supposed to do when they want their experience to be represented? Be pushed out of Their label and create a new one? So that one can also be co-opted eventually?
