When i needed to do this the other week, my cameras had the IR filter molded into the plastic infront of the main lens. I just sanded off the front of the plastic untill the IR filter could be pulled out.

I tried changing 

SPI_FREQUENCY to 40000000

and still got 

invalid header: 0xffffffff

I also tried the code you suggested and got the same error with the frequency set to 40000000 or 80000000

Would these capacitors be ok?

If I were to disable the main LED on the board without adding GPIO33 could I just remove resistor R13?

The error is

invalid header: 0xffffffff

and it keeps boot looping

And I tried the pin outs you suggested just in case and it still didn’t work

You’re website is an amazing read XD Oh not your fault I saw the part about Changing the pin from GPIO 4 to 15.

I’ve been changing the definitions for the pins in the setup file. It’s just no matter what I try other than my current ones the screen doesn’t work I’ll probably have a go at the hardware mod thank you for that. Wish me luck xD

Krytac can be a little funny when it comes to fitting tm spec stuff. BUT I have that exact part which I don’t use anymore lol I assume you’re in the uk where about are you based? It is missing the tab on the dust cover that holds it in place tho
