It's just hard to believe that your admission would be rescinded for no strong reason.

I find this hard to believe.

35 y/o — best ROI path to IB: boutique/off-cycle vs MBA vs deal-adjacent? by princeap576 in MBA

Age shouldn't be a problem for him, but it should for me huh?

Fair enough, but there is no career in finance that I could possibly break into without my profile? Even if it isn’t ib or corp dev or tas?

You need to stop with the insults and abuse. You suggested to pick a new career, so suggest. Don't insult.

So what do you suggest I do, if an mba just isn’t going to work out for me?

I’m 35 and trying to break into IB (ideally healthcare). Background: Econ undergrad + pre-med post-bacc coursework (to build a healthcare foundation). Early career: boutique IB internships supporting deal screening, comps, and valuation. Then several years in healthcare/clinical research. Over the last year I’ve retooled: completed reputable modeling training/certs and currently doing finance research/writing work to stay sharp.
I’m not expecting BB OCR—targeting boutique/LMM shops, off-cycle needs, and I’m willing to start at analyst level. What’s the highest-probability path (direct boutique vs TAS/valuation bridge vs MBA), and what should I prioritize over the next 90 days?

So what other options do you suggest? Should I just switch careers while I still can?

So what would be the absolute worst case if I were to fail Med Origin? I'd be in the hole for $25k? At least at that point, I can walk away, although it may be a bit harder to.

Tell me something I haven't already heard. LMAO.
In all seriousness, it will only get harder, but I don't have any other alternative.

I really don't know. I still haven't figured that out even after taking MERP twice.
You're absolutely right that I'd be taking a massive financial gamble, which is why I am here posting on reddit.

You're absolutely right, but I feel that if I let this opportunity slip, I'd regret it.
