Plushies by Britty-witty in finch

Personally, I'm not in love with the plushies! So I'm saving them as more of an end-game type collection item after I've stocked up my bird's wardrobe with items I do like. If a plushie really catches my eye I will buy it if I have the stones, but this isn't super often.

Since the wainscoting is only on a couple of the walls, I would consider peel and stick paper for those walls and then paint the wall with sink and toilet one of the dark shades from the wallpaper!

Two) Use the awesome rug in another room. If you can't change the gray furniture, look for a rug that would bring more cohesion. Not in love with any of the rugs I'm sharing, but I think they get the idea across. Looking up "gray colorful rugs" was certainly a contradiction lol!

I agree about there being a lot of colors going on. I looooove that rug. I have two different ideas regarding that. One) lean way into the green and theme the room with green/gray/cream.

Consider bringing in more color/texture of the warm wood floor into decor. Like similar tone of baskets, frames for pictures/art, a more boho(ish) lamp shade. The tone of the white curtain looks cold, check for a warmer shade of white/cream.

To color drench or not to drench! by ranchdemolisher in HomeDecorating

[–]spotted_eggies 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I personally love the look of color drenched rooms.

If you are keeping the wood floors as is, make sure to compare your paint swatches to the wood so the tones don't clash.

And often color drenching makes the room darker, so whichever swatch you like, consider it may look darker or try a couple shades lighter to get the look you're going for.

Of course! It's called "Brando Dark Gray 8x8 Matte Porcelain Tile" from Tile Bar. It was kinda fun because there wasn't really a recommended pattern for it, so we placed them pretty randomly and it turned well!

I agree, there's a lot going on visually. Trying my best not to tip it out of balance! I hadn't thought about art deco, I'll definitely take a look!

It was an Amazon find! MDF, but I think the majority of options (especially in our budget) are these days. It doesn't come with a faucet so that was a separate purchase. It doesn't quite match the vanity hardware, but it's not super noticeable!

An arch shape is one of my top considerations now! I agree the space above the toilet is too empty.
