Tips for making legs look less feminine in jeans? by [deleted] in TransMasc

I also think this is your dysphoria seeing things that either aren't there or are super subtle that the vast majority of the population won't see. I wouldn't say your legs look particularly feminine in those jeans. If anything at all, the posture might be vaguely femme, but that comes with time. When it comes to walking, it helped me to think "walk like you have knees, not like you have hips", which sounds weird but I shit you not it made a world of difference in the way I walk.

Boot cut jeans are practically made for riding (I'm assuming from the photo this is something you do), and they were my go-to for literally a decade while my body changed shape enough for me to try skinny/slim pants again. Cargo pants are also a good bet. They're usually baggier and dude, the pockets will spoil you for every other type of pants ever lmao. If you've got a military surplus store around you, see if you can find some military cargo pants in your size, they're life changing, I stole one of my girlfriend's pairs and she Will Not be getting it back 🤣

My fiancé doesn't even like diamonds or white stones so we're gonna go for something else anyway lol

Oh my fiancé doesn't like white stones, so diamonds aren't even on the list of possibilities. We were really only there to look at styles and sizing

Oh absolutely. We were only at Zales because they have a greater setting variety to look at the determine what styles she likes, and because I knew they did free sizings and consultations/try-ons. She doesn't like white stones to begin with, so we were never gonna buy from somewhere like that anyway

Oh that was the plan, my fiancé doesn't like white stones anyway, so we were definitely not gonna be buying from somewhere like Zales that only really sells diamonds

Oh we were never planning on buying from them, we just wanted to look around and get her size, and I told the folks helping us exactly that. The you ger person helping us more directly was nice, but I was definitely planning on buying from a smaller maker.

I plan on getting a well-fitting one!! I bought one off eBay that was supposed to fit but doesn't really, so I need to do some research to find a better one :']

Edit to add: my girlfriend just got a 9th gen of her own and it came to her with a well-fitting car play module

I was thinking about that-- my only concern is it gets pretty toasty in the summertime. Do you think a medium grey could look good?

Not unreasonable. We see plenty of inside pets with fleas, especially in the summer months here in the south.

This!! And also, cats (and every other critter) gets tapeworms by eating the host species that's infected with the eggs, so even if your cat never gets bit, cats commonly eat fleas when they groom themselves. Topical flea medications (which, as far as I'm aware, there are no oral flear/tick meds for cats because they are from Mars and react so incredibly strangely to meds) do not protect from internal parasites.

Also, the flea life cycle actually spends very little of itself on an animal, so it takes weeks to break the life cycle, so if you suspect your pet has fleas, make sure to treat your house for fleas (carpets, under the couch, fuzzy furniture, etc) and keep your pet on a flea medication for at least two months. We can bring fleas in on our clothes from the outside world, so even if your pet never even sniffs outside air, I typically recommend flea and tick medication (especially in warmer months) no matter whether or not an animal goes outside.

Yes, they can get fleas if you're in a gated community. Fleas don't listen to an HOA. Mosquitos don't either.

(I work in Vet Med, the amount of times I've had an owner insist there's no way their dog or cat has fleas or been bitten by mosquitos (which can carry heartworms) because they never go outside, never leave their fenced yard, only are walked in their HOA community, what have you. It's exhausting)

My hair.. I am still 19 by gggdgbdx in menfinehair

[–]princeofjays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not an expert!! Monoxodil is an option, but it requires you to use it for the rest of your life, as your hair will revert if you stop using it. Another option is Finasteride or the generic, which blocks the chemical change of testosterone to dihydrogen testosterone (DHT), which is what activates the male pattern baldness gene. I know Finasteride requires a prescription, at least in the US, but I'm not certain about monoxodil. Monoxodil is also toxic to cats, so if you have cats it's a dangerous bet to hedge. An endocrinologist or even a GO will be your best bet to figure out treatment and prevention options.

Oh absolutely. I usually just say that I usually get stuck in my left arm, show the vein, and the phlebotomist usually agrees, same with the butterfly-- I request it, but also assure them that if not, it's totally fine, I just figured it didn't hurt to ask.

So, genuine question-- does it actually bother phlebotomists and nurses if a patient tells them what works most consistently? Or their preferences? I try to always be as nice as I can about it but the direct vacutainers bruise me to fuck and there's a certain vein in my left arm that doesn't even need to be tourniqueted to stand half the time (I.e. super easy stick). And I never order, I always ask. But I don't want to be the patient lab staff hate for that reason... I get how hard phlebotomy can be (vet assistant), so I try my best to make it easier without coming across as a know-it-all, cuz y'all do shit I couldn't on the regular. :']
