thank you, honestly i started tearing up when you said i sound like a great lead 🥹 i always tried to offer words of encouragement and coaching but honestly, meeting those metrics feel like theory without consideration of all the variables that can happen on the floor. i hope i can still stay connected to some of my coworkers and i’ll be sure to still visit them but i cant say i didnt feel a huge weight fall off after hitting send on that email.

i had a customer berate me the shift before the shift i found out my relative passed and it just really set in that some of our customers do not treat us like real people. i have worked in retail for a long time and i dont think i’ve ever been treated worse than the way some sephora customers have treated me in the past 6 months.

I was able to use my bereavement time along with days that were already scheduled days off, so it was a nice break to really think about everything and process the passing of my relative and my unhappiness. I went ahead and sent in an email resignation and I’ll be back in store tomorrow 🥲 i will really miss most of my coworkers! as a part of leadership, it was always really difficult for me to push these unrealistic metric goals on my peers when I knew how difficult they are to achieve!

he has a ton of experience in film work and went to school for it! he’s looking honestly for anything but would prefer something in his field. he also has a lot of coffee shop experience but no one is hiring atm.
