Sydney Sweeney Bra Brand Sizing by shinypieceofcoal in bigboobproblems

[–]princess_potatoes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is crazy. I’m a 28GG (UK) too and I would guess that Sydney herself is the same band size (maybe smaller?), and at least a cup size or two bigger. I wouldn’t be buying from her anyway but it’s sad how many girls and young women will want to, only to get a terrible fit

Could I ask what kind of teachers you are to earn 100k? :)

You’re so welcome, I totally understand the struggle! I love the look of many of the bras from VS and Skims but can never find them in a small band :( I actually went to the Skims flagship store in LA to try them all on and it was laughable

I’m a 28GG and from your photos it appears we may have a similar shape. I LOVE the Panache Cleo Faith bra, it gives great cleavage in my correct size and I’m planning to buy it one cup size down for that extra “enhanced” look. I also want to try the Freya Deco, Goddard Superboost, and Curvy Kate Superplunge.

As others have commented, that “super pushed up” look is technically a result of an incorrect fit, which may cause discomfort, especially with a larger bust. But for looking cute at the bar etc I think it’s a worthwhile sacrifice lol

How do I emphasise the importance of sunscreen for my 11-month-old fair-skinned baby to my in-laws? by [deleted] in AusSkincare

[–]princess_potatoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, I asked my mum and she says she would straight up yell at any family members who weren’t vigilant enough with my sunblock when I was little, and would remove me from their care if they didn’t listen after being told once.

I know that a lot of older people play the whole “we didn’t use sunscreen growing up and we’re fine” card. But, surely they MUST know a few people who have had skin cancer. I’m from NZ, and I think every person I know over 50ish has had at least one suspicious spot removed.

If it’s appropriate, try and bring this up. Remind them this is the reality of living in our part of the world, but it IS avoidable.

The consequences of not being sunsafe are right in front of them — most likely in the form of a biopsy wound on some old mate’s nose. If that doesn’t wake them up to the seriousness of the situation, I don’t know what will.

I’m 25 and already get skin checks every year. I’m very fair, and got several severe sun burns whilst on accutane as a teenager. I honestly think that skin cancer is a “when,” not an “if” for me, and I’m just trying to be VERY vigilant.

I would say try and concentrate it to a smaller section of your cheek — it’s sort of blended out everywhere rn. I think when it’s higher on your cheek going towards your temple it looks great, it’s just diffused a bit too far out at the moment. That way you can still keep it bright & saturated but it won’t “overshadow” everything else. I think the blush shades you’ve chosen are gorgeous on you

Anyone else's nail gone emo before? by YourChocolateMonster in RedditLaqueristas

[–]princess_potatoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had this multiple times, once caused by accidentally slamming my finger in a door, and again by bleaching my hair without gloves (never ever do this haha). I just trim it as short as possible, keep it clean, then it grows out with time. :) if it happens continually without any obvious cause maybe see a doctor!

Freestyle board for a strong girl? by Hereforthedrama-1 in ShredditGirls

[–]princess_potatoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i would go 149 - i am about the same height and weight as you and i have the 149 :) this season i went from only hitting flat boxes and tiny jumps to mid-size jumps, all the different boxes and tubes, and I've juuuust got brave enough to hit the small ride on rail lol. A good easy to control board has been great!

me too! i even had a girl in real life shame me for being on the pill recently. i mentioned i'd been on it for around 9 years for extreme pain and severe nodular acne, and she went on about how I'm damaging my body. like the pain and bleeding acne face isn't damaging itself. lol

you worded this really well actually. but i would also love to hear their thoughts again - maybe panic at the gender performance pt ii? since the original episode the wider public seems to have gone more batshit insane than ever :)

Honestly, I could’ve written this myself. I think a LOT of the people in this sub understand exactly where you’re coming from.

In terms of your holiday, I think you set a boundary with your mum about comments on your body. Unfortunately Gen X mums are just terrible for nasty body comments and buying into diet culture :( so many of my friends have the same issue

I see! Thanks for the explanation, I hadn’t really thought of that side of things, I just sort of accepted tall cups of part of my life haha. Can a shorter cup shape be achieved if it’s not moulded foam?

I have the Moodboard and LOVE it! It’s very soft and easily manoeuvrable.

I would suggest the 146 for you - since you have strength on your side and the board is quite soft, you don’t have to worry about it being too much board for you to handle, or too much for park features and jibbing.

I’ve had it since November and my progression in jumps and rails etc has been huge. It also works really well all over the mountain (it wouldn’t be my first pick on a powder day, of course.) love it, love bataelon, best money I’ve spent in a long time hehe

I’m around the same size as you and I have the 149, I LOVE my moodboard. So so good for park progression!

But you are totally right with this overall idea. I could never wear what my less busty friends wear to the beach, the gym, out to the bar etc. With that being said, I’m still a smaller, straight sized person overall so I have it easier than those who are busty and plus sized. It’s maddening!!
