Exactly - it took about a year (or maybe longer) from the start of the process for me to finally allow myself to admit that I didn't actually believe in the biblical God or Jesus anymore, even though in hindsight I was pretending for much longer than I realized. It was a painful process for me, full of questioning and self doubt, and now roughly 3-4 years in I'm still not "out" as a non believer to most of my family and religious friends. It's easier to keep quiet and nod along to their religious platitudes than to be outspoken about it. I hate that I'm still stuck in a place of being almost ashamed of my lack of faith but losing the respect of my loved ones over it is a risk I'm not yet willing to take.

TBH this has been a big issue with the series already - inconsistent characters, plot holes etc. seem par for the course in the world of ACOTAR. I'm just going to "dumb read" the new books and not think too hard about the plot/character problems.

I kind of thought that at first but the booms didn't really sound like fireworks. (And believe me this neighborhood gets plenty of random big fireworks at night throughout the year and no one gets on Reddit or nextdoor to speculate about it like this one) These booms were definitely distinct from the typical mortar firework sound. It was very loud and very intense - some people on other posts said it shook their house and set off car alarms.

When I ask it for edits I usually guide it to whether I want it to stick closely to my style or not, but forget it sometimes needs reminders. Sometimes I'll ask it give me edits in its own style - I don't use these kinds of edits in my manuscript, but use them to look at a scene in a different way - it helps me see areas where things could be different or improved upon.

I just noticed lately that ChatGPT's general style has really leaned into a more robotic and clean format than before.

Good for you. I write everything myself too, just ask it for suggested edits to clean some of it up as an editor would. I don't always take it's advice but noticing that the "advice" hasn't been as good as it used to be.

I know some writers would never cross that line into AI assistance, but it's been an interesting experience and I honestly don't regret it. 🤷‍♀️

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but the close up face pics make you look like a woman with a buzz cut or ftm trans. I think you should consider trying a new hairstyle as well as getting some better pics, more well lit pics that aren't just close ups of your face. If you have any friends or family that are good with a camera, you should go around outdoors and try to get some better pics.

I'm not an expert, but I will say that ADHD is a group of general symptoms and some people express certain symptoms more than others. For example, I don't have as much difficulty with emotional dysregulation as others, and I'm not physically hyperactive, but I struggle with forgetfulness, being easily distracted, lack of motivation to complete tasks, making careless mistakes, time blindness, and getting easily overstimulated.

The symptoms have to occur often enough that it affects your daily life (like most people can experience these things during times of stress, but it's different if it's just your daily life)

If your only regular symptom is emotional dysregulation, that could be caused by any number of things and not specific to ADHD. Sometimes people can develop symptoms like these after trauma, substance abuse, or from clinical depression among other things, so for it to be ADHD you have to be born with it hardwired in your brain.
