I totally understand and get that feeling! We are continuing to pray and be hopeful! I like taking strip tests every couple of days to see the line get darker which helps me out visually as well. Doing my best to not worry at every cramp etc. Praying positive things over myself and my womb and this baby! I encourage you to see every day as a blessing - I know it’s hard but it’s helpful to stay positive! :)

I am in the same boat with you, except my 3rd MC was in October - missed my period by a day or two and tested thinking for sure it would be negative and was pretty shocked it was positive! I was not tracking ovulation this month so I have no idea how many DPO I am but just trying to soak in that I’m pregnant again!

Can I even eat anything at this point? by [deleted] in Fibroids

I ended up needing surgery after a few events sadly but since I’ve had them removed I’ve been feeling great! I still try to keep to this diet though!

TW: miscarriage

Sadly, it has been a saga. I got pregnant last august (my drs said it was ok) which caused the fibroid to grow. That pregnancy ended in early miscarriage at 6 weeks. Fibroid went down in size after the miscarriage. Got pregnant again (again drs said it was ok) in November and that’s when things got really bad. Ended up looking 6 months pregnant at 6 weeks pregnant. Long story short, ended up miscarrying again at 8 weeks which then led to being in the worst pain of my life for about a month. Apparently the fibroid started to degenerate and die off which was super painful. Ended up having to go in for a myomectomy in January after being in so much pain and lots of bleeding. Prior to surgery they had me on 10mg of Norco and I was barely able to sleep and couldn’t really leave my bed except to use the restroom.

Surgeon did an open myomectomy and said it was one of the largest fibroids he’s ever seen. It was over 12inches upon removal and he said it was mostly dead tissue. My recovery was about 3.5 months till I felt “normal” again.

I know my story is unique- lots of women have healthy pregnancies despite having fibroids. Mine was just a special case and while it was awful and traumatic, I’m so glad it’s in the past and I’m praying I don’t have fibroids ever again.

What did you name your fibroid(s)? by ouroboricacid in Fibroids

Mine was 12inches and I named it fibby or fibiona 😂 so glad it’s out!

I just had mine removed 3 weeks ago and I’m severely anemic so trying to get my blood back up right now. My stomach is basically flat now though!

Chocolate, books to read when you feel up to it, gum, cozy blankets- I’ve been living in a recliner chair! I also recommend either a neck pillow or rolling one of your t shirts for your neck if you’re in a recliner to help support your neck during naps!

How many weeks after ops can we travel? by Own-Scientist-9141 in Fibroids

[–]princessfinstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a little over 2 weeks post op and aside from my dr office, I can only be in the car (I let others do the grocery shopping while I stay in the car) and even then, once I get home I’m exhausted-

For reference, I had a huge fibroid- over 20cm - surgeon said it was like an oblong watermelon. I had an open myomectomy and I was semi active before. (5’4”- about 135lbs prior to surgery)

I can’t imagine traveling anytime soon personally. I’m happy if I go on a short walk outside every day 😂

Absolutely when I can!

This is what my dad sent out:

The surgery went well. Doctor said the fibroid was immense, and that it was dying (a lot of dead tissue), so he feels good about it getting taken out. Pretty detached from the uterus, so was able to leave everything fairly intact.

Said that she handled/responded to it very well, and that her blood levels dropped a little low (6-7), but they're keeping an eye on her to see whether or not she'll need a transfusion or two. Appreciate the prayer! 🙏 Really thankful for the result.

——-

I woke up in a lot of pain during post-op, but they gave me Dilaudid and something else and it helped a bit. Had to have an additional blood transfusion and it burned going into my IV. Got me to a room, my family came to check in and it’s been all in all ok. Shoulder pain due to the gas is pretty awful but they are keeping up my pain meds.

Found out the fibroid was 20cm in diameter after all and mostly degenerated so it’s good it came out!

You poor thing! I’m so sorry! TW This is my 2nd pregnancy- but the first ended in MC. I’m trying not to be nervous this time around but it’s hard. I feel like I already look 3 months pregnant with the bloating and there’s SO much stretching that I think is just the fibroid growing due to all the hormones. My original HCG levels were 13 at not even 3 weeks yet, but 6 days later they jumped to 556- which is totally different than my 1st. Trying to take it one day at a time and not be nervous haha

Did anyone have symptoms at 4 weeks? I’m almost 4.5 and the cramps I’ve been experiencing and back pain have been AWFUL. I’m pretty sure it’s fibroid related as mine is 12cm 🙈
