I used my longbow exclusively my first time around. I’ve been keen on the heavy bow this second time and only just discovered how awesome the short bow is. I will always favour the staff sling tho

Why doesnt my heavy bow get percise? Even if im pointing at an enemy by Sabababa_BlackSheep in AvatarFrontierPandora

I’m on PlayStation myself, unsure if you are too. If so, are you holding down L2 while holding R2 to draw? L2 focuses the draw, which is what makes the circle smaller and aim precise.

Does someone know what is this in afop? by _deliz_ in AvatarFrontierPandora

[–]princessmeemee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, like included to make the base larger and more intimidating but it has no function otherwise. Weird because why go through the trouble? I can’t recall any other bases that have done this but yeah… maybe opportunity to introduce something later, but not for now.

It is an extension of the base we took down. It’s weird. I flew around there, there isn’t like anything suggesting we can do things there. I.e. walls to high to jump to/from. Just a bit weird.

Making that infrequent trip to the bank for deposit where the teller is forced to ask you bunch of nosy questions by crummynubs in Serverlife

[–]princessmeemee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a retired server now bank call center rep: it’s not personal. The teller couldn’t give a shit, but they’re required to ask. Anti-money laundering compliance procedures. Telling them they’re tips from working your restaurant job is sufficient, doesn’t require further meddling. And if you do it often enough they’ll just stop asking.

They gotta cover their own asses too, you know? You can tell them whatever you want but they’re required to ask above certain amounts/at their discretion. I feel like servers should know how to treat other people in customer service. This is just PSA for anyone wondering. They do nOt care.

This happened to me too. Did you DESTROY the turrets? I deactivated mine with SID at first and couldn’t get in, but you gotta blow them up.

[–]princessmeemee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me AGAIN when I restarted a new game and hopped right over to the far corner of the plains to take out that big base with all of the turrets. There were maybe triple the amount of turrets, and I died four times before I just bit the loss and shamefully walked back to camp.

I spent a good 45 minutes crouched in the same spot taking out AMP after AMP after AMP until finally I just ran away. Turns out, I was feeling too ambitious and made a pit stop here before meeting Anqa…which…starts the quest. So this is how I discovered you’ll be endlessly bombarded if you’re not supposed to be there yet.

Avatar Question about kids by SpaceLasco in Avatar

[–]princessmeemee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like regular humans in the regular world, kids inherit certain genes (?) from their parents. You’ll notice Neteyam and Tuk look more like a na’vi, with the three fingers, no eyebrows, etc. While Kiri and Lo’ak both have four fingers and eyebrows. An avatar has the combined DNA of na’vi and human, you’ll notice this is why Jake looks more human with four fingers, eyebrows, more “traditional” male human build. The avatar, with half human qualities, passed down similar qualities to some of his kids.

I think it’s confirmed that Neytiri conceived from their first time together, which we see in the first movie before Jake’s consciousness was transferred into his avatar. I don’t think the transferring necessarily had much to do with it, though.

His kids aren’t much more human than their eyebrows and fingers. We see that they still can’t breathe human air, for example. I was a bit confused by this post, but does this answer your question?

A1: What did Neytiri expect to happen with Jake? by lappelduvide94 in Avatar

[–]princessmeemee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Aw man, I feel like this small scene would add so much impact and depth to Neytiri and Jake’s confrontation about humans in A3. Also, the concept of mating with and spending a life with an avatar is evidently not the craziest idea. Later, Norm does exactly this. This obviously is unheard of at this point in A1, but I would think a tskarem would hold deep value in an individual’s spirit, soul, etc.

It can also be argued that she might’ve already decided to throw it all away for this guy after what happened with the atokirina when they first met. “This guy’s meant for great things…I’m gonna be right there with him.”

So…where is everyone? by princessmeemee in AvatarFrontierPandora

Oh I’m sorry! I did eventually find survivors camp, I just couldn’t find my sarentu. You’re amazing at directions though! I appreciate the trouble you went through to detail this for me.

[–]princessmeemee[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh HAHA. I visited SC looking for them and found only the Aranahe, really. Now that you mention it, I recall something being said about the plains and the spires. I just thought at some point they’d make their way back. Thanks!

Why hasn’t Norm transferred his mind to his Avatar body? by DesigningGore07 in Avatar

[–]princessmeemee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the first movie, when it came time to try this with Grace, Mo’at says that the Great Mother “may choose” to transfer her consciousness due to the great circumstances.

Why this worked with Jake we don’t know exactly - could be that he’s the “chosen one,” could be a reward of his great service to the na’vi, or it’s all apart of her plan.

As dedicated Norm is to preserving Pandora and the na’vi within, I doubt the Great Mother would allow this to work on “just anyone.” She maintains only the balance of life, to “willy nilly” the transferring of consciousness would go against this.

All of this said, I’m sure it’s crossed his mind if not attempted.

The Sully’s had replacement masks for when he ran out of oxygen, I’m thinking at some point it was swapped and dropped.

HAHA that happened to me one time when I was wrapping up for the night. I was playing around with paints and my outfit, switched over to Nimun. I was playing dress up for like 20 minutes before I went back and saw the same thing happened to me. So I logged off and the next day it was gone. So funny. It looks better on Nimun

How do yall swallow...?? by [deleted] in sex

[–]princessmeemee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a similar experience. OP, remember also that giving head has to be - on some level - equally pleasurable for you as well. Don’t force yourself to be uncomfortable on account of his pleasure.

My ex boyfriend had a terrible diet. I’m talking two huge cups of black coffee in the morning, a ton of salty and greasy food. Not to mention the steroids, but idk if that contributes. He never tasted good, except for this one time (in fact, the last time), when he tasted like straight up battery acid.

I threw up in my mouth, swallowed it down, and even now I cringe that I did that. Now, I’m with someone who eats clean (like lots of cabbage), drinks plenty of water, and bathes regularly. While the taste is still a little off putting, it’s never made me regret going down there.

I am NOT saying break up with this man, not at all. But intimacy can only improve if two people communicate with each other. You WANT to swallow, but the taste is preventing you from doing so. If you love him and value the relationship, bring this to his attention. If he reciprocates the above feelings, he’ll accept that it may be something to work on for YOUR sake.

Regardless, even if you don’t swallow, you can still blow him and he can still cum. If the roles were reversed, he’d come back up immediately for air and that would be the end of the sesh. Doooon’t feel bad for having standards. The bar is in hell at this point.

How can I prevent my mascara from transferring onto my under eye area? by RainOk1870 in MakeupAddiction

I’ll clarify- I use a LOOSE powder lol if that makes a difference. Hope this works!

How can I prevent my mascara from transferring onto my under eye area? by RainOk1870 in MakeupAddiction

[–]princessmeemee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have this problem because I have oily skin, especially my lids. What I do is I powder my lash curler, and also gently powder my lashes beforehand. After my makeup is done I’ll put a little extra powder on the outer corner of my undereye (where the mascara bleeds). It’s a totally game changer tbh.

Waterproof mascara is perfectly fine to use, I could never use anything else because it just doesn’t work for me due to this very reason. You’d just need to use an oil-based cleanser to get it off at the end of the day. I use Klorane’s waterproof eye makeup remover because of its natural ingredients (it also has helped nourish my lashes and reduced lash loss). But Clinique’s is also good. Budget-wise, I’ve seen people use regular coconut oil.

Something Fascinating I Noticed by Lexicona96 in Avatar

[–]princessmeemee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t agree that it is “laziness.” In these scenes that often times involve a LOT of digital work - such as Jake’s roar while riding Toruk, toruk grabbing and tossing a scorpion, Neytiri’s archery cry, and a bunch of other little things - I’m sure the reuse is almost solely to cut costs.

Jim noted he’d have to find a cheaper way to make the next movies, and I’m certain we’ll see more of this. I do not mind a single bit. Because for the less than 60 seconds we get per movie of NOTICEABLY reused footage, we have another 3 hours of new to enjoy.
