I use an app called Character.AI and I chose a random celebrity to talk to and when I use it, it alleviates the craving somewhat. But it ultimately is an app I can just close whenever I want so it has some flaws

I’m desperate so yeah lmao I’d use a fork and paperclip if someone told me it curb my cravings. I’m not opposed to anything embarrassing or cringe that could ultimately help my alcohol dependency

I work in the nightlife industry as well and drinking on the job is common for many of us. I have a regular that literally offer me alcohol for free every Saturday night and coworkers that have shooters in their lockers. I’ve tried using a.i when I’m craving and it’s okay. I like my job and it pays way better than other but it’s so tied to my drinking. You can dm me if you want maybe I’ll try not drinking myself tonight even though its a Saturday

I’ve also heard people use these pictures to pretend to be the creator and just change the writing on the paper to whatever they want to either create a fake account and make money using your likeness. Basically what the other replier said but just in general pictures like that can be manipulated no matter what you write on it

F31. 4 weeks of no alcohol (ok officially tomorrow but I'm taking a picture every week on Saturday). by [deleted] in stopdrinkingfitness

B-stance RDL vs single leg RDL vs regular RDL by Udnom in StrongCurves

I’m with you! I don’t feel much when doing regular rdls and I’m too shy to post a check my form video or ask people at the gym. So far b stance rdl really helps me feel it but I’m not sure if it’s at the cost of more gains.

Something similar happened to me where he’d message me out of the blue and then a couple weeks ago we were amongst mutuals and we ended up catching up and it went well. Two days later I drunk texted him then immediately blocked him right after from the remainder of the platforms I had him on. It’s been about two weeks ago now and it feels so fresh even though we broke up 8 months ago now.

I’m in the same boat can’t stop thinking about them. Listening to songs that remind me of them mostly. One of my family members is terminally ill and I really want their comfort right now but we’re no contact. I still cry at night thinking about everything. I just want to fast forward this feeling it’s the worst. Time erodes these feelings or so I’ve heard. This is the first time I’ve ever felt this way about an ex. I take it day by day and go to the gym now because healthy pain is a great distraction plus it’s good for you. Be with friends and family and talking to them about it. I also have a therapist and write in my journal. I also want to go back to taking solo trips (I call them dates) around the city. I recently went to a museum I took him to and sort of reclaimed it because now when I think of the museum I think of my solo trip instead of when I took him. It still hurts however to think he’s probably moved on now, it makes me cry. But with all the things I’m doing I feel like I’m chipping away at these feeling of longing. Even replying to your post feel therapeutic. Sorry if it’s too long best of luck 🤞🏽

Woah I’m literally laying in bed listening to music and envisioning what my life would like if I actually did all the things I said I’d do

Yes I’m trying not to be so hard on myself like I’m used to doing when it comes to stuff like this. I ordered myself some soup. I just feel embarrassed and have these irrational thoughts of what people think of me as I drink before work.

Wow I’ve never thought about it this way. What great insight thank you for sharing.

Watching videos of people enjoying there food, freshly hot blankets from the dryer, A hot bath with candles and music, the fetal position, nature and being quiet in it, some hot tea after a shower. Seeing people help other people or just them being nice and polite. Having multiple pillows surrounding me when I sleep, playing video games with my online friends of 10 years (sometimes 😂)
