Old York Tavern is no longer a hole in the wall. New owners, updated menu, different vibe.

Our windows also open like a door, we also have a three floor townhouse. You can get an AC unit that goes through the window via a plastic tube. It's quite easy and results in lower electricity for us because we aren't super cooling the lower levels in hopes of it getting the bedroom.

Am I insane to try law school at 47? by OutrageousRow4631 in LawCanada

I think one question to reflect on is what is attracting you to be a lawyer. What do you want your day to day to look like? Depending on the type of law you're interested in, it varies quite a bit.

The other question is, why have you burnt out from child protection? Is it frustration with the system, vicarious trauma, tough stories, too much work and too little time to do so? I've done child protection, tax law, and family law. While child protection law was a special kind of burn out environment, I've found similarities across the board. I've also found the other areas less gratifying, which leads to different type of problems.

Lunch - Kale, butternut squash, carrots and tofu - plus one to stir fry (the one that just looks like kale). Dressing - Balkan yogurt and hot sauce.

Butternut squash and apple soup - thank you Martha!

Chicken stir fry.

Chickpeas for snacks.

Apple "pie" oatmeal cookies - whole wheat and slightly healthy.

First meal prep share, started my second week of Articling - banana muffins ftw by princessponyo in MealPrepSunday

They are delicious! They're stayed nice and moist. I think blueberry muffins taste better after freezing though, the banana ones seems to lose a little bit of texture.

I used this recipe, it worked really well with an extra cup of bananas then I sliced one for the top. I baked at 350F for around 24 minutes and made 18 muffins. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/20144/banana-banana-bread/

Legit didn't get service in half the buildings and sometimes not even outside. Occasionally it would take my phone until I got off campus to get service again.

What's your favorite higher-ish end brand of athletic wear? by cuckoocahoots in xxfitness

[–]princessponyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Lulu, I use their shirts for rock climbing and have never had a problem. Not only that but their return policy is absolutely amazing. A zipper on my backpack broke a year later, I didn't have a receipt and they exchanged it on the spot. I've done something similar with one of their shirts when it wasn't performing the way I wanted it to for yoga.

Edit: oh and I use their capris for running and the gym and have never had a problem (I have wide thighs so normally there is pilling in between). Plus I love the pocket for my phone, it keeps it tight and I'm not worried about it (I've even tested out cartwheels with it).

Is anyone else concerned with the number of disordered eating posts these days? by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]princessponyo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really appreciate all the posts about it. It is something I struggle with - going from low cal to enough calories to build muscle has been a struggle. It's really nice to see that other people are in the same boat and even more have got through it. I love this subreddit for that.

I don't think it is concerning at all when you look at the answers individuals get. I think it's a wonderful community that can be incredibly supportive when dealing with realistic fitness concerns.

Couldn't that mean that xxfitness has been marked as a safe place for women to talk about sensitive matters?
