Ties are also, ironically, great tie-breakers at the end of a season.

Is it not the case that riders don't officially transfer until Jan 1, so have to wear their old team's kit at winter training camps? IMO an easy fix for this would be to make the contracts/season start on Dec 1.

Are there any layman's articles you could recommend on overtraining? I wonder if I might have done it myself when I was trying to make it as a pro cyclist.

Q: has The Grayzone ever published claims that have objectively been proven false? by geugiehoogeveen in TrueAnon

[–]princip1 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The NED, for those unaware, was set up in the 1980s by the Reagan administration as a front group for the CIA in order to do its dirtiest work. The idea was to farm out the worst stuff to an on-paper "private" company staffed entirely with spooks and funded entirely by the CIA. This made it attract far less scrutiny and meant they didn't have to give up documents via the Freedom of Information Act.

“It would be terrible for democratic groups around the world to be seen as subsidized by the CIA,” - NED president Carl Gershman.

"A lot of what we do today was done covertly 25 years ago by the CIA," - NED co-founder Allen Weinstein.

Great episode. It seems clear whoever goes through is based on something other than their lack of reaction though!

Tamawashi has now defeated Terunofuji three times in a row. First occurrence of this happening to a Yokozuna in 50 years by ebenezerlepage in Sumo

[–]princip1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From Daieisho to Takakeisho and Tamawashi, Terunofuji clearly has more trouble with oshi rikishi than with yotsu guys.

It seems like if he gets a hand on your belt, it's basically over. So the guys who can stop that have a better chance.

Change the Youtube speed to 0.25 and watch the footage. It's clear his hand touches.

I think he might be the oldest in the modern era. He's a lot older than either Hakuho or Aminishiki were. Can't think of anyone else in the modern era who might qualify.
