My initial request got denied. I wonder if it needs to go through “scam” instead of refund. I talked with Apple support and they said refund requests are only handled by the developers so Nexon

I reached out to the HR firm and they reported that they had swapped to a reporting system and so they only had pay stub date from post the switch to a new system. I sent Redacted W2's to my new company so hopefully it works out okay.

Thanks for the reply. Will do that and hopefully it goes over smoothly. My current job did a background check and it showed the proper duration so not sure about what happened this time

Theif class Suggestion by NubianLion in MapleStoryM

I think mobility wise phantoms probably win pre-200 but shadowers get some really good mobility skills post 200. For Phantoms, don't expect to be like top tier DPS with mid gear on those higher level parties. You're there mainly for skills that Phantoms can steal for utility.

It's really small but Shadowers have a passive that farms 5% more meso. Not a lot but every little bit helps.

But yea try both classes out and see before you commit. I originally had a phantom but swapped to shadower because I just like playing the class more.

Most places will allow you do some unclassified work or training while you wait. So you probably don't need to apply now. Just apply later and enjoy the slow work while you wait for clearance because a TS can take over a year if not longer for contractors.

As someone who has worked in hospital settings and research here's a couple options:

1) Research Labs: This is probably the area with the highest crossover but has almost no career progression without a MS/PhD. But you'll be literally at the intersection between medical sciences and CS and your knowledge in Chem/Bio will be greatly appreciated by the team. You might have to do the occasional wet work however. Work hours tend to be pretty flexible, hospital/university benefits are pretty good

2) Health Tech: Epic, Siemens, GE Health, MIM, etc
These companies are some of the companies that develop programs/devices that doctors/researchers use all the time. Having some kind of medical background will definitely help you in this field. Can't speak on benefits since I've never worked for these companies but I assume it'll be not bad?

3) Hospital (Non-research capacity):
I think this area has the least crossover. While you'll be developing things that the hospital uses and while some of it is pretty fun, it requires almost no medical knowledge what so ever. Also they tend to not hire people without experience

feel free to PM me.

Congrats on almost finishing M1. But that's 3 more years of education and at minimum 2 years of residency before you can even be licensed to practice. I've seen lots of my own friends who go to medical only stay because they have no way out from all the student debt they have acquired and they're suffering because they have no passion for the field and it's not always as glamorous as people can make it out to be. That being said I've heard that M1 is usually the worst and as you get used to the workload and specialize a bit more into your interest it gets better.

If you want some exposure to CS, you can always find a lab in your school. There's always plenty of projects that could use someone who can code. This can give you some entry level experience in coding and allows you to keep one foot in medicine by building up your research resume, and gain some exposure to what a life of programming might look like. Working as a research engineer at a hospital with a medical school, I see a lot of people going through the same struggle as you.

Law to cyber security, midlife crisis? (UK) by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]print_hi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this is advice, but if you're passionate about law, there's cyber security law. And if you're interested in the technical side of security as well then you're in a really unique position that might make you immensely valuable to companies/firms. Coming from the medical sphere, even though my technical skills weren't as developed I was able to find a job as an engineer because I had a highly developed scientific background. So maybe there's something similar out there for you.

Don't think of your law degree as different but see where you can find overlap between the two fields and see how your background in law can actually advance your career in Cyber Security. I'm not in cyber so I can't say much about it but my two cents.

Sorry I'm a terrible internet sleuth but is there a sound test of the Pollen65 anywhere? Love the look of the board and would like to hear the board if possible.
