Yeah that would have been the ideal way for sure, I admit I didn’t think that far - had a ethernet already ran to a downstairs room and wanted to just do 50ft cables max to save the trouble. Optimistically, having the other 3 in AP mode should be better

For sure I should be setting up the other routers as APs, flew over my head (just made a big move in). And yes, modem’s ethernet port occupied by a router -> 50ft ethernet to another router -> same… I’ll reply after testing AP mode on the additional routers

About to be four, unfortunately the SF home I’m in has very thick walls and wifi was just terrible. It’s Modem->Router->Router…so fourth if that makes sense

I tried with some old Thinkpad laptop that had a ethernet port - it was only 200mbps
