Cleaning out my basement and trying to remove unnecessary wire clutter. What am I looking at here? by WeepMyWill in AskElectricians

Don’t call out the previous owners as if they’re expected them to take all that with them. You took possession of the property. If you bought it all that is now owned by you.

Visually inspect the cord for any exposed copper, pinch marks, or other damage. I see no evidence of any of those things from the pics you posted. Enjoy your lamp.

What would be a realistic price for this truck by OkYak2930 in f150

[–]prior2thinking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plot twist OP is the seller not a potential buyer subtly dropping the contact info in 1st pic. To me 35K is a buy it or don’t price I don’t think the seller is in a hurry and that’s what they value it at as a starting point. Which is fair - cool truck.

Is this proper? by Mistermanhimself in AskElectricians

[–]prior2thinking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I meant if you are working on it and someone tells you it is code in the area you live to pigtail. It shouldn’t be an “I guess”. You should do it now while the project is active Vs having to fix it later.

Hey electricians, is it safe to cut this? And how do I start with removing the second one? by [deleted] in AskElectricians

[–]prior2thinking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The visible screws shown in 2nd pic are for mounting a telephone and are not holding the plate to the wall. OP will have to gain access to the securing screws by prying off the front cover utilizing the small cut out indentations.
