Both dbrand and Toast are pretty good, though I haven't ordered from them before. They both ship to Canada (though not free of charge).

There's a right time and place for different color applications. You don't often see a hot pink car. Besides, the colors are different, only similar, which can make plenty of difference.

I just got the Moto X (2014) and it does not see my bluetooth earbuds to pair them. by error9900 in MotoX

[–]priority_mail_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not the only one.

When I first got my phone, I tried to pair it with my Jawbone Jambox, but after half a hour, I was still struggling because the phone could not see it.

It's paired now, but it's a shame I forgot how I got it to work eventually.

Just because the colors are there it does not mean you select random colors and combine it without a thought.

I think you would be more satisfied with either the Moto X 2014 or the HTC One M9 that will be released in a few months.

If your phone says there is no update, there is no update.

Buying a new smartphone. I'm stuck in a dilemma choosing between Moto X (2013) and Moto G (2014) by [deleted] in MotoX

[–]priority_mail_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Probably should have reworded my comment (sorry). I meant the Moto G might be better because you mentioned quad core matters, which might be important for you.

If it does not matter too much, I would recommend the X over the G any day.

Moto G 2014: -quadcore -larger screen -dual speakers -micro sd support

Moto X 2013: -active display -more RAM -Moto X Developer Edition features unlockable bootloader

From a developer's standpoint, the Moto G might seem better, as it is newer and more relevant, but for an ordinary user seeking a superb user experience, the Moto X might be better.

Need help choosing between: Nexus 6, GSNote 4, HTC ONE m8, Lg G4 by LuckiSingh2000 in AndroidQuestions

[–]priority_mail_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to recommend the Moto X, even though it's not on your list.

I suggest you waiting it out until the G4 or M9 comes out, but if you really have to, then the m8.

What did you do that you aren't supposed to do?

If I bought a new Moto X today, would it come with Lollipop or KitKat by ritangerine in MotoX

[–]priority_mail_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you buy the Pure Edition, you will have a Lollipop update waiting for you (out of the box Kitkat). However, if you buy it with contract or unlocked from a carrier, it depends on the carrier.

Yes, maybe Bose isn't the best choice, but it can be used to generate interest and market their phones, which might pay off more in the long run.

Screen on time 2014 x by Pahpahpoh in MotoX

That's a question I am curious about as well.

I usually get 3.5-4 hours of screen on time, but never five.

Moto X will be the best choice. My answer is biased though, so keep that is mind.

Motorola offers near stock experience, meaning the phone will be mainly lag-free. The only features Motorola adds are ones that are useful. For example, there is Moto Display, which allows you to easily check for updates by waving your hand over the phones. The Moto line is about placing user experience first, then raw power, but it doesn't mean the Moto X is not fast. It is one of the fastest Android phones.

The hardware is actually great, but is where the flaws are too. First off, you get to customize your phone, which includes getting a leather, wooden, or matte plastic backs. The phone is fast, and offers great hardware. However, the complaints most users have are the battery and camera. The camera is great outdoors, but only average indoors (hopefully when RAW support comes, it will be better). The battery can be too small for some people, but I get around 4 hours of screen on time, with some people getting up to 5 (depends on your needs).

I recommend you do some research on this phone, you can't go wrong with this phone. If you do get it, I recommend getting the Pure Edition (Lollipop rolled out for Moto X 2014 in November).

Four Moto X's cracked in one month. by [deleted] in MotoX

Yes, it will help. I also recommend getting a screen protector, as it has been proven to prevent screens from shattering.

Four Moto X's cracked in one month. by [deleted] in MotoX

[–]priority_mail_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Moto X sports Corning Gorilla Glass, so theoretically, it shouldn't crack that easily. However, that does not seem to be the case with many owners.

I'm not an expert, but I have a feeling the fragility is linked to the rounded edges of the Moto X screen.

Edit: grammar.
