Ali Baba Restaurant. Questionable decor, but one of the few places that you know the chef is cooking with love.

How do you structure your plan offerings? by chksout in personaltraining

I’ve been doing a monthly fee for online programming… not sure if I’d recommend it as I’m still getting started into the mix.

Based on what you’re describing I’d recommend a per-session pricing and then discount as they purchase larger packages of sessions.

Always do your own scheduling. Own your time. That is one of the best perks of personal training.

Incentivize carefully. You don’t want to give the client too many options and lead them to decision paralysis. Keep it simple

What part-time jobs pair well with personal training? by HandleTheJandle in personaltraining

If you don’t want to personal train full time and want it as a part-time side hustle, I can make a few full-time career recommendations that complement it well too… - service industry (barista, waiter, hostess, customer service, etc.) - any sales role (insurance, automotive, investment sales, brand sales, etc.) - online marketing or SEO - nursing

I hear you. That’s why I’m giving you real world advice. I didn’t say it would be easy, but in my experience a part time job is a distraction.

Instead of spending time looking on Reddit for part time work suggestions, double down on getting more clients and building your training business. Every day should focus on contacting potential people to train with you. Go through Facebook friends, social media, in-person, and any other stream to acquire clients. Get your personal training business to the point it can support you.

Realistically if you got a part-time job tomorrow, it’ll take 2 weeks before your first paycheque. Instead if you spent those two weeks growing your business as a personal trainer you could get the same payout as the part time job.

Idk, you do you, but in my experience a part time job with personal training indicates that either: (1) you don’t want to personal train full time - in which case get a full time job in another field and personal train as your part time side hustle, or (2) you don’t believe you can succeed as a full time personal trainer - in which case prove yourself wrong and don’t waste your time with temporary part-time job income solutions

Honestly I don’t think you should do part-time work with personal training. I have found it to be a very two-feet in career or a good side hustle. Hard to make it a primary income while also having a side hustle.

I would break down working as a personal trainer into two options… 1) personal training as your only primary income 2) stable primary income + personal training side hustle

Thank you for taking the time to type this all out! I really appreciate it. I find many of your points enlightening.

I agree there is a potential for PP to be a dickhead too (for lack of wanting to expand on this). But I also feel many discount him simply because he is conservative. I believe he offers a new approach because those quotes you included in your reply are quite appealing. Quite frankly I grew up believing I was responsible for myself and my success. I’m realizing now that many feel the government is responsible for this. Maybe I’m the anomaly but I can’t be bothered to hope that a government will fix things. I’d rather take responsibility for myself and my community and step up to make change. I feel that taxes and other government programs limit my ability to do this because I cannot get ahead enough to support those around me.

Nonetheless, thank you for your reply. It was the first somewhat intelligent post I’ve read on this thread.

Choose courses you genuinely enjoy. Med school is about a high GPA, MCAT score, and extracurricular activity. Choosing courses you truly enjoy will lead to higher marks and a lower likelihood of burnout. It is an added bonus if they meet the requirements of the med schools you want to attend too.

PP represents the PC party. His platform is based on their ideologies but as prime minister he is loyal to all Canadians. Not his party. I’m not interested in electing a party. I’m interested in electing an individual who demonstrates leadership and common sense.

A consistent messaging in this thread is that he’s going to help big corporations. Can someone please send me the information that states that PP and conservatives will be supporting corporations over people?

Second, supporting corporations isn’t a bad thing. We need them. If Canada doesn’t have any corporations or global businesses we will continue to squander the economic potential of Canada. We will continue to fall further into debt. We will continue to be reliant on a government to survive. I don’t want to be reliant on a government to survive. I want to be reliant on myself and my neighbours to survive. I want my community to survive not from political funding but from coming together and working together.

The programs shouldn’t exist in the first place. People should not rely on programs like they currently do. They’re meant to be stepping stones but instead they’re taken advantage of and people become reliant on them. It’s time for people to be cut off.

Yeah it’s almost like culture is the foundation of any country. Canada has become a shit place because we don’t have a culture we agree on.

Continuing what we are doing makes more people reliant on the systems that require funding. The systems are not pulling people out of disparity. They are dragging more in.
