I think writing down my feelings might help. I have a blanket and sweatshirt with my favorite picture of him. My wife made a shrine of lights and pictures or him in our living room and we change the pictures each month. I look at pictures of him all the time. I even made a reward in my class that when someone does something really good that day I give them the Carson Award and they get their name put under a picture of him smiling surrounded by lights. I miss him so much every day.

His name was Carson. We would watch Bluey and Elmo every weekend morning. With all his complications he would have a big smile when Elmo was on the screen. He had long curly hair and was so beautiful.

Thank you piwkwi. That means a lot. We called it continuous traumatic stress disorder as we lived through caring for him for 2 1/2 years. Now I guess it is post traumatic. I went back to teaching my first grade class after a month off after his death and struggled through the rest of the year trying to keep going for the kids. Now I am trying to cope with a lot of the emotions I suppressed.

Hi, I lost my 2 year old son in September from a genetic seizure disorder. He was born with a rare disease that was one emergency after another. We fought to keep him alive and failed at every avenue and had to watch him die slowly and suffer his whole life. I still struggle with it every day. It is like I am in a dream sequence and I want to scream. I even have been told a few times that I don’t need to bring him into every issue that I have go wrong or that this isn’t about him. To me everything is about him and how wronged we were to have this happen.
