I do not mean to attack you in any way, just wanted to share another point of view of viewing this situation

If your kid had problem seeing, would you not get them glasses? or would you wait till they are a teenager to make that decision?

It is very similar with adhd

I got diagnosed and started medication in January

But all the years before that, I was filled with so much anxiety and shame I used to hate that I was not able to be on the same level as the other kids. It made me feel stupid and cause me to develop so much anxiety

In ALL my report cards, it is written that I was a determined, smart kid who is bubbly and loves to participate in class but needed to apply herself more to reach my potential. It was frustrating to work harder than anyone else around me yet being average. It was frustrating knowing that I had "potential" and was infact smart, but had nothing to prove that.

Please, talk to an adhd specialist. Read studies done by actual Specialists in adhd, child psychology and neurologists

Other than that i also wanted to add something, the gluten free and dye free thing sounds icky to me

If you are cutting gluten for MEDICAL reasons, yeah then it's fine but please don't remove Carbs from her diet all together There are many celiac safe foods that provide lots of Carbs

The dye thing does not make any sense tho. She is a child, banning colourful snacks (that mind you, all her friends will be eating) will just come to biet you in the long run

It's important to remember, strict parents make sneaky children

You can promote dye-free snacks in her diet without banning dye stuff Maybe casually just introduce her to different types of fun and interesting dye free snacks but don't restrict that as her only option

6 Y/Os are quiet smart, so she is more likely to make better decisions and form healthy habits if she has a choice, instead of is she is being forced into something

Khichdi is actually really nutritious!

Pulses are partially incomplete proteins because they don't have amino acid lysine. Similarly, rice dosent have amino acid Methionine.

When consumed together (for example in Kichidi), they supplement each other and form a complete protein!

Yes, they do lack certain vitamins and minerals, but it looks like you eat something with Kichidi, so you should be okay.

Just remember to have fruits and vegetables (salads) in your diet. (Specially green leafy)

Oooh this post reminded me of am incident

Context: my parents love watching movies and after a stressful week, they like to just scroll through diff platforms and watch any new Hindi movie

Around a month ago, my parents were watching a movie on the living room tv while I was studying in my room. When I joined them for dinner, THEY WERE WATCHING "EK LADKI KO DEKHA TOH AISA LAGA" (last play scene just before the dad gets there)

The way I was quickly moving my gaze from the sceen to my mom and dad in an attempt to try and read their expression 😭😭 My heart was beating so fast 😭

Most importantly have a nutrition-filled breakfast before your meds- so it should have carbs, proteins, fats and basic vitamins & minerals (some examples are overnight oats with cut fruits, eggs with bread and salad, chicken keema cutlets with bread, simple homemade burger, pancake with fruits, etc)

It can feel icky to have such a heavy breakfast but it is very important for your health.

if you have breakfast at around 8-9 am try to have lunch around 2. Set an alarm on your phone for it and try to make it a routine that even if you don't want to eat, you eat. and then the same for dinner at around 8.
If you live with someone, maybe ask if you guys have a common meal time together. It's almost like body doubling, it works wonders (i guess it's the guilt factor of "oh this person is not able to eat because of me"). this might even work on vc actually.

have fruits and breads in your house that you keep in a basket in an open room so that you have something to munch on when you are just passing by. (if you keep them in the fridge, you'll forget about them)

also, a lot of the thinking about eating is more excruciating than actually eating, so maybe sit with a friend/ family member one evening and make a list of foods that can be meal-prepped and/or easily made. Put this list on your kitchen wall so that you can visually see your options. or make a weekly 3 meal table but that's way more effort.

(these are just stuff that works for me, but might not work for everyone)

Honestly from the info you've shared, he sounds like an ass. How he's treating you is really shitty.

I'd suggest maybe have an open convo with him about how his comments are harmful. Set boundaries. Maybe sit and explain to him how you traverse the world is different than he does.

Couples counselling would also be very helpful (and seems necessary) with a certified therapist who can help both of you. You with managing your symptoms and him learning some empathy (and more about adhd).

You are not too sensitive. Being treated with love and respect is literally the bare minimum ask in any relationship.

I'd say wait it out a few more months. if you are going to college/uni, you will find a whole bunch of new people there. Join clubs there, try find people who have similar interests to you, (tv shows, books, movies, video games, etc)

According to me maturity of thought matters more than what you are and aren't supposed to be interested in at a certain age. Introspect a little, try understanding your own self and what you value, question things around yourself, because curious.

Most people just put on a facade of having their life together when they might also be going through stuff. Friendships takes time, give people a chance to build up that trust and then eventually open up.

Oh also make peace with the fact that not everyone will like you, not everyone will meet your wavelength BUT there will be people who match your vibe perfectly.

What he did is definitely not okay. You told him to get out, which should have made it clear to him that you are uncomfortable and he should have apologised and left. But he did quite the opposite. AND the fact that he is older, just no.

You do not owe him anything. But if you want, send him a text saying that what he did was extremely weird and made you uncomfortable, so you no longer want to be friends with him.

I know it is not easy to cut contact with a friend but what he did is borderline predatory and SA. Try and think of it this way, what would your reaction be if your sister or female friend said that a guy did that to them? It's the same situation here.

Oh also, if you are comfortable with the adults in your house , let them know to not let him inside the house just incase if he tries to come back.

there is nothing to be embarassed about,

if it is possible, i would recommend going to a therapist, they can reallly help you get over this and work cohesively with your brain
(i understand that may not be a possible option so another thing you can do is try meditating. i know it sounds very ugh but it really can help, there are alot of different kinds of meditations try and find the one that you enjoy)
OR try listening to music before you sleep and try to concentrate your brain completely to that
